I definitely see Jlo got alottt of inspiration from Mariah’s fashion, I see a lot of similarities even with the hair. Charmbracelet era hair is my favorite lol she wore so many different styles. Also Mottola being that much older than her and then acting like her father will always creep me out. He basically treated her like she was his daughter and property like SIR, THAT IS YOUR WIFE! I am so excited to get into this video. Mariah has always been an icon for me, I grew up listening to her in the 2000s and part of what I loved was her unapologetically sexy and feminine clothing. Revisiting her music videos has been educational for me because I love a lot of her choices and it helps me consider what I could try for myself.

Looking back Mariah's outfits might seem normal with her short, form fitting dresses, but I'll never forget when she went on a talk show in the 90s and the host called her style of dress slutty. For me, the era where her beauty and style were stunning were: Charmbracelet, Emancipation and the early 90s, I think between the years 1992/1993. (Her most beautiful photoshoots are from this phase) The natural hair phase and well-defined curls in the 90s are charming!
