I love how she calls out the background singers... If u watch toward the beginning, she looks over and knows one of them is off key... Then she catches it again, then she calls them out.... Mariah in the 90's was amazing!!! Her entire catalog is great, but 90's Mariah was just on another level.
The short white dude was singing and he isn't her background singer...I think she heard his vocals and called him out. lol I've always loved that part!
True artists do these things Because they have the vision for music they create. They have to direct and instruct how to get each piece to move to complete the art.
You should react to her Jimmy Fallon SURPRISE! Performance (the one on her channel with 1.2mil views)... It was also stripped down with her, the piano and a couple background singers and she was improvising. It is like the modern version of the Vanishing rehearsal.
The "somebody's doing the wrong note" was jokingly directed at the short white SNL tech/stage guy on the left, who was standing in for her third background singer during the rehearsal and was clearly singing off key... lol. The third background singer is playing the piano during the rehearsal. If you watch the actual live performance during the show, her real piano player is on the piano, and the third background singer is back in the third position: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bjfufIOumkg.html
My guy, what note was that? As someone else said “She took it from the basement to the attic.” She jumped octaves into a whistle note and that transition was flawless.
I almost died! I thought you won't be uploading videos today.. 😂 Btw, you should really see her live performance of "The One". Thanks Always Jack! All the best to you! ♥💪
For the question on "what note was that" -- she was using her whistle register. Whistle is the highest phonational register, that in most singers begins above the soprano "high D" (D6 or 1174.6 Hz) and extends to about an octave above (D7 or 2349.3 Hz). It is created by using only the back of the vocal folds. It can be very dangerous for singers if they do not do it right. Mariah is a trained singer and at her prime in the 90s especially her mastery of whistle and going in and out of it was just so perfect. Mariah is a rare gift and I am so thankful you are doing so many Mariah vids. Hmu if you're curious about more music terminology as your grow and learn about the technical side.
Super crazy! I was just watching this video and went to your channel to comment and recommend reacting to this. Then I see this was uploaded 10 minutes ago. Instant gratification much!?!? Lol
You need a TV Show! Your reactions are the epitome of genuinely reFRESHing and Novel and Candid and Humorous and a joy to watch because through your welcoming experience, we experience it again for the first time. We relive. We reminisce. We enjoy, Keep up the GOOD WORK!!! And Thank you!
This kind of review/reaction does not require an expertise. You are really engaging that is why I watched all of your MC reactions. Thank you for appreciating and recognizing how talented Mimi is. Thanks as well for giving your point of views, so awesome to hear from a younger generation. From her #1 from the Philippines. Mabuhay!
Bro. Bro!! Thank you so much for reacting to this song!! I suggested it often because I knew once you heard this song that there would be no turning back from becoming a lifelong fan. Welcome to the club! Seriously though, thank you for doing this video. You're gonna make a lot of fans happy! Now I just wanna see you pump out "Giving Me Life" 🤣 You're the best man - keep up the great content! -Nick
This is my request, OMG i told you this video is Legendary unlike the other requests lol. Stop apologising you can react to her as many times as you want, we will never complain haha. Also sorry i’m late, i’m so busy in school. I hope you always have a nice day, stay handsome thank you ❤️
We waiting for Giving Me Life btw 😭😭 also that note was F#6 at the beginning and G#6 when she went higher. But actually the flawless transition that she does from chest to whistle is what makes it extra special for me!
You should listen to “Always be my baby” the original version and the Remix version with Jermaine Dupri and Xscape... you can really see how she changes up her melodies
Prolly all of the good reactors out there already reacted to these good mariah stuffs so i'm here just waiting for every content lol not everyday you'll find a good react channel, glad I found this
Don't apologize. We love these Mariah reactions. She is the Songbird Supreme. And you have such a great perspective on how u see her vocal performances. 💙👏🙌
Please react to her live performance of Forever in Tokyo Dome. You'll be blown away with the resonance, melismas, belts, breath control and emotions to that song. P.S Been binge watching to yout reaction videos as you really into it and really pay attention to the videos you are reacting to. More power!🙏
If you like discovering great vocalists, you NEED TO react to Natalie Weiss. She's not mainstream 'cause she's a musical theater actress & singer, but her voice is completely insane. She's almost prime Mariah level. Watch her cover of Demi Lovato's "You Don't Do It For Me Anymore" for a good example of her technical skill.
You SHOULD listen/react to her singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY (live) to Muhammad Ali!!! Ali looked like he was gonna have a heart attack. 😊 Btw, you're really really cute!!! 😍
Not stripped down. The recorded version only has piano accompaniment. And when you hear this song, you'll realize how adele's someone like you is overblown.
Check out Mariah Carey ft Nate Dogg - What Would You Do It’s a remake of a song with Ja Rule and Nate Dogg for her Glitter album but remixes it for the West Coast🔥🔥🔥
Jack,if you want to do some more Mariah covers try with "Bringing on the heartbreak " it's way more better than the original rock ballad!Real fans knows:"When Mariah cover your song the song is not your anymore !"😁
