Mariah Carey's "Vanishing", [LIVE SNL 1990 Rehearsal] - SINGER REACTS 

This is my reaction, analysis and breakdown of Mariah Carey Rehearsing “Vanishing,” for SNL 1990 along with her backup singers. Vanishing is from her first album entitled “Mariah Carey,” which happens to be one of my favorites. Mariah gives us such a rich, dark color and so many iconic motifs that became a quintessential part of her sound. In this song we got to hear some great riffs, runs, and mixed belts from Mariah. But I am really loving the soft delicate tone we hear at the beginning, not too strong and in your face, but supported, warm, and beautiful. Mariah is so powerful it’s not always we get to hear such a gentle display of her beautiful sound.
