The awesome thing about this video is that they made this with no money. Everyone in the video are personal friends of all the band mates and did this on a favor. And this is the video that got them to be so huge.
this was filmed in my home town. it's a museum in Burnaby BC Canada and I remember being there that day and it was closed because of this video and I remember seeing a man with blue hair dancing weird. I was only 8 at the time and little did I know he was my future idol. this is so crazy! guess I was into m trench before it was cool ?¿
I remember the first week this came out. I was 12 years old. Mp3 player at school. Completely bouncing off the walls playing this song on repeat. I was running under waterfalls. Rolling all over the fields. Life had no consequences. This song brought so much energy out of the younger me, it still sits in my mind so many years later. 😂

Me and my friend were recently talkin about if we went to a Marianas trench concert, and they performed a few songs with 1D and 5SOS all at once, I told her I would freak out and die. They are my top 3 fav bands ever! 'Best concert ever' is now an inside joke between us.
May I ask why people like 1D so much? Gosh... I just don't understand. I'm not hating at all, I'm just a little confused. They're just pretty faces that can sing to me.
I had originally interpreted this song/video to be about an abusive boyfriend - the beginning of the video being how the abuser sees himself as cool and loved and desirable and then the crack to the head waking him to the reality that people hate him - but I looked it up and apparently it's about how they felt they were selling out to the music industry, and how the industry treats musicians. Cool.
the song that started it all for me.....and now everyone has finally discovered marianas trench and are now coming around to find this song as well.....it's kinda bitter sweet in a way
I remember listening to this song when I was like 11 and thinking "wow it's so catchy" and now I see how slightly graphic and crude the lyrics are but it's deff still catchy!
Back then everyone trusted each other and everyone knew your name. But now everyone thinks your a creep if you walk up and say "hi!" I would smile and say hi back =_=
Can we all please stop fighting and enjoy the music? Who cares if you're American or Canadian, both have rockin' bands and can we please just appreciate that they are popular in both Canada AND America!
