My wife powered through and escaped a horribly abusive relationship. 4 years ago we started dating after it all and we've been married almost a year now. Shes so strong but now knows no one will EVER hurt her again.
I agree, but to be honest, we don't get the story (of the video) from the available footage alone. We see a couple in a fight, the male has the physical advantage (of course) but we don't know HOW they got to that situation. Then, from what we see next, the woman doesn't seek police help, instead prepares herself for *physical revenge,* which is a bad and quasi-criminal choice. The video hints that they fight over drugs, and believe me (i know) when couples fight over drugs usually *NONE* is innocent. My point is simply that sometimes (in real life) things aren't as black-n-white as we perceive. I think this video is somehow related to *Deal With the Devil,* but i'm not sure.
@@humbertojimmy I am seeing nothing, absolutely nothing about revenge in this video. What I am seeing is a woman who WAS in a abuse relationship and she got strong enough to leave. That's it. Anything else you are seeing says more about you, than about the story they are telling.
@@joachimschoder No, you're seeing what you want to see, because the man is ALWAYS the destructive part of the couple, right? And even if a man abuses a woman what should she do? Prepare to beat him up?? Get real! You avoided my arguments and simply reenforced your own idea of the video. Let me ask you, if the video showed woman mistreating s husband, and the next footage showed him working out, punching bags, with an angry look in his eye, what would you say? I know *exactly* what you'd say... "this dude is about to make a HUGE mistake"!! But the lady gets a free pass.
@@humbertojimmy I am seeing what they are showing. You didn't have any arguments. You told what you wanted to see. And now you are setting up a straw man in which I claimed that "the man is always the destructive part". I didn't say anything close to this. Especially since I don't believe it. I celebrate everybody who gets out of an abusive relationship!!! Revenge isn't getting out. You are seeing what you are wanting to see. And since you are rather accuse me instead of reflecting on your own statements I am out of this "discussion". Enjoy your strawman arguments
Late to the party just discovered them 6 months ago . Wish more of their songs were rooted in “kick ass” guitar riffs like this one. My personal opinion this is their best song
Trenches by Pop Evil has an authoritative and determination to go after certain goals/objectives in life energy in a musically stimulating way. The motivational message to keep going adds to the song wizardry.
While my life has been a living hell lately being homeless and hopping couch to couch. I have listened to this song every day and its kept me sane because I know I will keep fighting and ill get out of the trenches
JAfiorgeogegie go out there and get your piece of the pie. Everyone deserves their slice but ya gotta earn. Work work work like Rihanna said and fuck the rest
I don't remember the year, but these guys played in the parking lot of a Guitar Center grand opening in Florence, KY. I was with my son in line and I remember saying to him "This band is going to make it, they've got a great sound!" So glad I was right, so much great music would have been lost if they hadn't been signed.
I remember when my cousin used to go to school with the drummer and how the band were trying to get to the top. It's cool how popular they're getting now and they deserve it.
They just keep getting better and better! I saw them at the Kitchen Pass in Joplin, Mo and they rocked the house, and were super friendly! I have pictures of my best friend and I with each member.
No time to hide I'm alive on the inside Breaking up my mind on the front lines When I survive, when I survive another day This great divide Side by side on the inside Breaking up our minds on the front lines Never again, never again will I be denied Here I come 'Cause here I come I've waited all my life to get out of the trenches I'm ready to fight for what I believe you can steal from me I won't take this Gonna fill these trenches and stand up Wake up, I won't give up 'Cause here I come, here I come Back and forth, stuck in a hole, damage control Digging for rhymes on a secondhand cell phone When I survive, when I survive another year Still month to month Paying my dues on the inside Breaking up my mind on the outside Never again, never again will I be denied Here I come 'Cause here I come I've waited all my life to get out of the trenches I'm ready to fight for what I believe you can steal from me I won't take this Gonna fill these trenches and stand up Wake up, I won't give up 'Cause here I come, here I come I've waited all my life to get out of the trenches I'm ready to fight for what I believe you can steal from me I won't take this Gonna fill these trenches and stand up Wake up, I won't give up 'Cause here I come, here I come Stand up Wake up I won't give up 'Cause here I come, here I come
RU-vid made a awesome suggestion. That is the second one, first one was Shinedown, good job youtube, i am almost forgetting you for suggesting nick minaj that other day.
+Marcelo Yuri I know how you feel man. I was listening to exclusively Three Days Grace until Nine Lashes' "Anthem of the Lonely" showed up in my suggestions. Now they are one of my favourite bands :P I find that looking at the RU-vid mixes for bands you like will give some similar music, that's how I found this song and most of my music nowadays. It's also good to make a playlist that you can just keep adding to as you go.
+Marcelo Yuri dá uma olhada nesse site: www.last.fm/music/Shinedown/+similar Acho que você vai achar bastante coisa parecidos com bandas que você gosta. Shinedown é minha banda favorita... foi através desse site que achei o Pop Evil
Personally, my favorite part of this song is the fact that you can just groove to it. It's the bass that does it mostly. It gets you pumped up but at the same time, you kinda chill and float with it. Or maybe I'm just weird as shit, who knows.
Great hard-driven rock does not get old. The music & video are stellar & capture the spirit of the real fight.....daily struggles by quietly tough people. Rock on! Come to New York where the tough women are!
If anyone doesn't like this it's becz they don't have the right headphones. 1 get sum good quality ones 2 crank it up until they put on the warning that this is as .loud as u can go before u blow out your friggin brains 3 you dont give a shit you jus want to go 1000 h.power...thank u Godsmack
I'm not much of a rock/metal fan but I saw you play for the first time yesterday 9/11/22 in Wakegan and i absolutely love this song and your music. You just got yourself another fan :)
Pop Evil has been absolutely the greatest rock inspiration for me.. I think they are brilliant, new and inspiring. I appreciate the intelligence, hard work and experience they put into their music. They fit me perfectly..
Not so! Hard rockin is still alive and well . You just have to live it, support it and rock w bands like Pop Evil, Halestorm,Clutch,In this Moment and so on. I'm nearly 50 and I rock just as hard today to today's tunes as I did at 17 to the Crue!! keep the faith!!
if I remember correctly the high pitch note heard on the main riff is called a g pinch harmonic which is very easy to do all that needs to be done is to press the desired note such as a g and move it sharply downward as you are finishing the strum
Such an empowering song! This gives me chills. But in a good way. I was married to an abusive man that would beat the shit out of me and make our young kids watch. I finally stod up, woke up, and got out. I only wish I had done it much, much sooner. Because my relationship with my kids, especially with my daughter, is destroyed bc of my ex. I did move on and found someone that loves me and my kids and treats us right. He's helped to give me the strength I lacked back then and learn to fight for myself.
