Debut album 'Oh Boy!' out late October 2016.
“One of the most important voices of our time … Definitely a major artist of the French school,” is how the young mezzo-soprano Marianne Crebassa has been described by Marc Minkowski. The distinguished conductor, something of a mentor to Crebassa, collaborates with her on her debut album, 'Oh Boy!', recorded in Salzburg with the Austrian city’s Mozarteum Orchestra.
Six of the arias on the album are by Mozart - and all 16 tracks are taken from operas which feature a mezzo-soprano in a so-called ‘trousers role’, playing the part of a young man.

L’album parcourt le répertoire mozartien et l’opéra français où une mezzo-soprano interprète des rôles masculins - d’où le titre « Oh, Boy !» Six airs extraits d’opéras de Mozart côtoient des airs de Chabrier, Gluck (arrangement Berlioz), Gounod, Massenet, Hahn, Meyerbeer, Offenbach et Thomas, dans un programme qui offre une mélange d’airs populaires et de raretés
