I had the honor and privilege of meeting and hugging Marie and she is a genuinely wonderful person. I knew this before meeting her but it was just super-reinforced during our visit together. She has occupied a very special place in my heart since 1976 or so, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
I take it that this didn't air in 2007, because Olive Osmond passed away in 2004. I was so close to my Mom too. My life was better with my Mom here in this world.
When a celebrity on a talk show says "enough! Move on" regarding a topic they are not joking even if she gives a big laugh. Tacky host to pressure her to talk if she's not ready
David Kleinman umm, I don’t think you were watching very closely. The host was actually on to a different topic. Marie didn’t want to say anything more about her divorce and the host had actually already switched topics to her postpartum depression and Marie didn’t realize it..... I found the host very compassionate and caring. She was asking those questions because she knew that so any people listening were also going through the same difficulties, she wasn’t digging for dirt, like some talk shows.
Do you people have nothing better to do than to make immature comments? I think you are the ones who never grew up or learned to have manners. I think she looks great and she always seems so full of joy and humour. Keep up the great laughter and beautiful smile.

Marie is human. Respect her for who she is and not what she is. I am divorced, and also seperated from a long term relationship. I have a fair idea how the poor woman feels.
So what Marie is Mormon. Marie is still human. Marie has problems just like any one else. I admire Marie for being such a strong person. Marie has not had the easy carefree life that people think she has. Marie is a beautiful, classy, kind hearted lady. Plus a wonderful sense of humor. I love Marie Osmond.

Years ago I recall an interview she did with Barbara Walters where she said she didn't believe in divorce and would never get divorced. She was young. Barbara looked at her condescendingly like , you're very naive, child. .

Well, as a special needs person (I have Autism and ADHD), I am also proud of Eunice Kennedy-Shriver who founded Special Olympics and made life much, much easier for special needs people like myself because if it weren't for Special Olympics or Stillwater Academy, I would probably be in prison or have been in prison for kidnapping a rich girl for a king's ransom or robbing a federal reserve or carjacking a corvette or a Jaguar or a Mercedes-Benz. I am glad I looked at the man in the mirror and turned my life around before it was too late. Marie, I am very supportive of your charity and I try to donate whenever I can when I have spending money of my own.
I agree with you Pamdawber. Use of the mailing list of the charity her MOTHEER founded (not her, as she often claimed while competing on DWTS), constitutes fraud and abuse. And there are no "winnings" to donate kraut - unless you are telling me Marie donated her salary from the show (celebs get a set salary regardless of when they get axed from the show). If you are claiming she donated all of her salary to CMN, I'd like to see the proof that she did so.

I used to like Donny;s songs when I was a very young girl , that time he was my an idol and thought his songs were nice but now when I am much older I don't think they were that great.
msta100, marie does have Christ in her life. She's mormon, which is a Christian belief in God. Marie's focus is her family and her faith. Those two things are what's gotten her through the divorce, her son in rehab, her parents' deaths, everything. She has the Lord in her life.

Also, her brother Donny's younger brother Jay must have ignored the "big family" tenant of mormonism as he only has I think 3 kids as well as Jimmy as well as Donny only has now 5 and considering he had 4 for most of his life and at the last minute had their fifth they hardly "live and breath" big families. not like they have 5 every five years.
