I think its cool that he was honest. Not trying to pretend, yet gave a very honest heart felt answer. He is a great example of righteous man in the church. We are all tempted, all the time, and this is not a bad thing, its part of being here on earth, its what we do with that temptation that matters.
Even at 44, I still love Donny! I'm envious of Donny and Debbie - this is what true love is all about, if more people had love like they do, the world would sure be a happier place.
Why is Debbie looking down and looking so sad, when her husband is saying such sweet things about her? Then she says; you know, every marriage has its ups and downs, you just hang in there. Is it that bad being married to Donny Osmond?
Donny really is a class act. There's a reason people still respond to him, after all these years. Besides being a consummate professional and extremely talented, he's just a nice guy. I loved watching him dance behind Weird Al on the "White and Nerdy" music video, by the way.
Agreed…and Marie too…knew of course that they could sing..I mean watched them growing up…but never in a million years did I ever realize the range that Marie has on her own until about 2 months ago!
The Osmonds were such a good example to teenagers. And they've grown up to be decent adults. They may not be mega superstar legends but they've got morals and show that you can be famous without going whacko.
How beautiful his heart really is. Donny was my price when I was only 12 yo and will watch every Saturday the Donny and Mary Osmond Show. The boys at school used to tease me and often said. “You like Donny because of his teeth”.

Good interview! Wow this is the first time they showed their home. When Kathie Lee asked him..'have you ever been tempted Donny?..and he said 'Yeah..all the time'.. I was surprised. It had to be hard for him to truthfully answer that question with Debbie sitting right there..but he did answer it and truthfully. I really admire his honesty and I respect him for it. Donny is a good man. Debbie is a lucky woman. I'm glad Kathie Lee asked him that question and he answered truthfully. The man is human just like the rest of us. Being tempted is natural..the key is that you don't act on it. Like the old saying goes..It's ok to look but just don't touch. I admire the honesty and respect they have in their relationship Thank you for sharing!
Donny has always been a sweetheart, he was my favorite cutie for my early to mid-teen years. I don't think comparing Donny and his brothers to MJ and J5 makes sense. They really are different genres. Everyone knows what their similarities are, but they were raised very differently, and ultimately their lives as adults don't compare. Pick the one you like best, but don't put down the others. You can also love both. I do.
I totally agree with MeowandBehold . Of course there is temptation even if you're married to someone you love deeply. Being tempted and giving in to temptaion are two totally different things though.
I, too, winced when I saw Kathie Lee sitting on Donny's lap with his sweet, patient wife, Debbie sitting by his side. Yeesh. There was no need for that.
I bet a lot of women sat in his lap, or made passes at Donny. Maybe some right in front of his wife. Women don't care to do these type of things. This is how some women try to get your man, by flirting or trying to make passes at him, or yes even siting in his lap.
I DO admire the way they kept their sons lives 'private' maybe cos Donny grew up so very publicly. Dunno. Still love ya Donny. All these years later, You keep croonin' - I'll keep droolin'.......
In 2003 Donny was body surfing in Hawaii & a wave slammed his head on the shore & he heard a crack. A week later he lost use of his arm...he had herniated 2 discs in his neck. Had to go in front & back of his neck & pull vocal chords aside to operate - he still has in his neck the 3 inch plate, 6 screws & cadaver bones they put in there. He's such a guy- he showed his x-ray on TV! LOL He was always wonderful but after the surgery he sings even better! And live in person is pure MAGIC! :)

Even though the question Kathy Lee asked was shocking, Donny has enough "Goodness" to him to answer honestly, and it appeared to me, that the love that Donny and Debbie share is enough to overcome a difficult interview. I've seen some celebrities handle a difficult interview badly.
Great interview, Kathie! Loved the tiny peek into Donny's & Debbie's private life. And hey, he's "Donny Osmond"; girls have been throwing themselves at him since he was a little kid. The temptation question is a very valid one. I think it would be extremely offensive to have people paw me & treat me like a sex object - expecially after I was married. I think that all of the Osmonds handle that embarrassing public abuse of thier marriage vows with dignity and honor.
Ms. Osmond talks about how their house isn't a museum, it's a home. Only...The house LOOKS like a too-perfect museum, like no child has ever played there.
I can't believe these two will be married for 30 years in May this year. Debbie is such a beatufiul woman. She really hasn't aged. Poor Donny. I just found out about the neck surgery story just last year. Thank god Donny still has his voice. Can you imagine Donny not ever singing anymore. I'm glad he still has his voice and his voice is such stronger after the surgery.
She is such a beautiful beautiful girl. She was beautiful when she married…….she’s even more beautiful now. He is a very man, she’s a good wife and soul mate, great mother and grandmother.
Seriously, folks, I hope Donny's never cheated on his wife, but if he did, do you think he'd tell you? You all act like you're positive he didn't. And some of you saying "How could you have feelings for someone else if you're in love with your wife," is totally ridiculous. Being with the person you love doesn't make others invisible. They are still going to be attractive and turn you on.
@MeowandBehold There's a difference between having temptations and giving in to them. Love is a roller-coaster. Staying true even when times are low and there are more than plenty of women willing to step in to comfort... yet pushing that away knowing that the ride you're on is about to head back up that track... Give him a break... He's honest and true. It's naive if to think that because temptations exist it's not meant to be... Love and relationships take work. In the BIZ, he's a miracle!
I forgot to say that I was madly in love with Donny many years ago, but also crazy about the entire Osmond family. Once he married a girl with my name (and it wasn't me), it was over, lol.

Don't be so hard on Kathie Lee. The Osmonds are open minded people who hold judgement on others. They've learned much in the business and have had some great individuals to learn from. In other words, they are very approachable people and easy to get along with. Relax. hehe )

Closer to 7 now. Course than they have a brood of grandbabies now a days. LOL. I looked at their birthdays of their grandbabies and it is sheer nuttiness in their utah home: 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012 and current baby with Don and his wife Jessica.
That baby grandson is 7.5 years old now, has a 4.5 year old sister (2008 birth), a 2 year old and a baby cousin, (both boy cousins) and a baby cousin who is supposedly a boy due in January!! :) Cute Grandma is going to be on GO MODE! As a kid who is this cute couples' kids' age Im assuming you to be their age from your comment, but I love reading about people talking about them connecting as a couple and becoming grandparents because it makes me realize the respect they have never dies.

In fact I was surprised to hear everybody praising him for answering honestly when I actually was shocked that he said yes all the time Which is a little bit strange I think maybe what or what I'd like to think he meant was that yes from time to time he is attracted to other women but he almost made it sound like yeah I'm ready to jump in the sack with other women all the time. It is not my place to say anything but if I think about if for a second I can't see anything good about a woman sitting in a lap of a married man. I mean you say dont judge but she was asking him about being tempted and then acting like that gets a judgement from me and I about the most non judgemental person possible. What an unprofessional interview: 1) Kathy Lee Gifford sat on Donny Osmond's lap. If it had been a male doing the interview, how appropriate would it have been for him to sit in Debbie Osmond's lap? Regardless of what the intention was for Kathy doing so, it was an inappropriate thing to do, especially in front of Debbie Osmond. 2) Kathy asking Donny if he is ever tempted to (cheat on Debbie). Excuse me, Kathy, but where did you grow-up? In a barn? Never could a more rude, senseless, inconsiderate, and insulting question be asked of a man sitting with his wife. It is no one's business, other than Debbie Osmond's, whether or not Donny Osmond is tempted to cheat on his wife. How about exercising some scruples and demonstrating careful thought before directing a question at someone? I give kudos to Debbie Osmond for exercising class during that interview. Considering that it's likely she is, more often than not, subjected to this type of behavior by women enthralled by her husband, I imagine it's a continual calling upon her dignity not to lose it. The true star in this interview is Debbie Osmond.

Prob..but I give him alot of credit for being honest. We would all know he's lying if he said never..he's human like the rest of us. I respect him and admire his honesty.
I am sorry but maybe people say he could have been this way or that about reacting to the temptation question but honestly Donny had to have been an adult at 20-21 when you realize he gave up all thoughts of being tempted and became adult overnight. Talk about him going from 1975 singer (approx) to 1978 father to be to a boy who has a son/daughter due sometime in 2013? WOW! Impressive in under 36 years.
