I wish I see her singing this. Such pure and sensitive singing, elegant and delicate woman, in such a strong and fit body. Every time I hear and see her I learn so much.
Ho applaudito la Sig.ra Devia nella Norma al Comunale di Bologna. Riascoltandola qui mi sono di nuovo emozionato. Che voce..... è proprio il caso di dire che LA CLASSE NON E' ACQUA.
Oh, flat starting. I heard her Norma last September on stage. She sang this aria much softer and with dignity. Also she managed to sing the phrase after a series of a''s in one breath. Amazing.
In my opinion, the worthy inheritor of great Sopranos of the past, Maria Callas, Renata Tebaldi, Monserrat Caballe, Joan Sutherland and others, Mariella can tap into most every repertoire and do it with great elegance and quality. For someone who has such a huge voice, almost Spinto, to cultivate the agility and lightness necessary is just fascinating. She proves the point of the teachers of old, that agility doesn't have anything to do with size or depth of one's voice but with discipline. Maria Callas being of course the ultimate example of "cantante assoluta" who could tap from Rossini to Wagner and deliver that quality and elegance worthy of every genre.
Ustedes los amantes de la callas la sobrevaloran si eso fuera no se por que no permaneció ni una década en los escenarios y termino sin contratos por qué le fueron cancelados su carrera fue en declive antes de el 1958 no llego ni a la década de sesenta que grande pudo ser con una línea de canto irregular mala técnica y otras tantas cosas
Her voice makes such great use of space...she's brilliant...I would add June Anderson to the list even though she is not considered the old guard in my opinion.
Qualcuno ha scritto che e' b noiosa perche perfetta. Se non sei perfetta in quest' aria come puoi interpretarla. L' aria in se puo apparire noiosa se non si conosce bene la trama. E comunque ogni sopramo la canta cosi. Senza vocalizzi. Qui occorre tecnica di fiato. E lei in fatto di tecnica di fiato non deve prendere lezione da nessuno, anzi semmai lo insegnera'.
Bueno a mi personalmente me ha gustado.Cada soprano tiene un timbre muy diferente independientemente que sean liricas,ligeras o spinto.Esta aria la he escuchado en sopranos lírico ligeras con una técnica maravillosa.Para gustos colores.
Non rimpiango di non averla mai vista in NORMA. Mi sono bastate altre interpretazioni, sempre oltre la perfezione tecnica ma aride dal punto di vista interpretativo. In Norma la trovo dozzinale e imprecisa. Complimenti signora per la sua ultra decennale carriera.
Трудно поставить это исполнение в ряд с исполнением Марией Биешу или Марией Каллас , Надо понимать ,что ариоза для жрицы, зрелой ,уверенной в себе властной женщины ,которая молится ...Ну есть и есть!Восторга у меня не было...
