You missed Krung Thai, a hole in a wall Thai restaurant at the Marikina Public Market! It’s owned by a Marikina native married to a Thai woman. It’s one of our unknown gems in the city. It is very close to Rocha’s. You should also try Cafe Lidia, Dapo at Tisa, Rustic Mornings by Isabelo, and the best Red’s Ulo-ulo restaurant. You barely scratched what’s available here! I can give you a food tour next time you’re here! Hehe

Hello Erwan! I was born and raised in Marikina City. Been staying here for bout 24 years already. Yea I must say you haven't tried the best of Marikina yet. If ever youll come back you should go to (1) Cafe Lidia (Brgy Calumpang), (2) Boyong's (Brgy San Roque) and (3) Lilac St (SSS Village) and (4) Lamp Quarter's (Bayan/Engineering). Cafe Lidia and Boyong's are one of our best restos in town while Lilac St is a food crawl of international cuisines. It's like our version of Maginhawa St in QC. And Lamp Quarters, it's a compound of different restos as well but with a very very nice & relaxing ambience. Happy to know you took time to feature our City. Thanks Man! Hope you'll come back here and I look forward for more of your vlogs. God bless!

Are you a fan of chinese cuisine? Luyong Restaurant is also an institution in Marikina, serving cantonese fare of the 'panciteria'-type. They have two branches there, one is along shoe avenue as well. Just across it is a branch of Bellini's Italian restaurant famous in Cubao, where the Italian owner now lives. Julius Babao knows the owner personally and actually helped him set up his restaurant. Would you be touring Binondo soon?

Lawrence Gabriel Bautista is it the chinese restaurant in front of puregold near the blue wave in marikina? If it is, i tried it once, for me its decent chinese food but not that exceptional (I'm chinese so my standards for chinese food's quite high). On the contrary, my father loves luyang especially their lechon macau with a very big bowl of sweet and sour sauce. 😊
