The amphibious machines are commonly referred to as excavators while the machine loading the trucks is, unsurprisingly called a front-end loader or, more commonly, a loader. Nice to see more rehabilitation projects beyond Manila Bay. Keep up the good work, Philippines!

Sana all.. laguna lake need rehabilatation.. the last dregging of laguna lake was done during Pres. Marcos.. since then up to now.. no rehabilitation of laguna lake.. ang babaw na ng laguna lake po. Kaya madaling bahain ang mga lugar na malapit sa laguna lake.. Dapat dregging na po laguna lake. Ginagawa na rin lang ang phase 2 ng laguna hiway po. Yung reclamation area na Taguig to San Pefro laguna ay makakatulong nang malaki ang dregging sa laguna lake at yung makukuhang lupa ay dun na rin po itambak sa reclamation site ng project po.. suggestion ko lang po. Ito. Keep safe ..

...and i fervently hope NO one is allowed to live near the river A big sign that says: "No houses allowed." There should be an easement of at least 25 meters plus 5, like Boracay. Easement matters a lot. The authorities must bulldoze illegally-built shacks barungbarung and even proper house built nearby along the banks. Thank you for highlighting this !

Marikina is one of the nicest and cleanest cities in the NCR. so sad when they have to deal with floods ☹️
