the first time I saw this performed live I hadn't even heard the Holidays in Eden album - I simply went to the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool and this (as the 1st track of the night) simply blew my fuckin head off. don't get me wrong I was no marillion novice at the time - had been a fan for many years - but the emotion and power of this track simply took my breath away.
You're born > 85 . No one would say that who was born after '85! Mind you, you needed to understand Fish and indeed, the era. Hogarth is, at best, good. Fish, is off the scale. Pardon the pun.
I have never seen a live concert I am 50 years old and this band and this music have accompanied me all my life. i'm not a hardcore fan, but i have a few albums at home fish was awesome, but steve is emotionally and vocally perfect Cover my eyes And splintering Heart is my Favorit 🤩
Went to the Marillion Weekend last week - nothing short of awesome!! Steve Rothery is still one of the finest guitarists out there. No-one can touch him for feel, soul & emotion - oh, the goosebumps!!
Killer!!! Hogarth is simply perfect, and the whole band is something so incredible I sometimes find it hard to believe they are so real and still together. Hogarth, your songs touch me as almost nothing in this world does. As someone said previously... "perfection at its best"!
I was there too. I kind of rediscovered Splintering Heart. It was amazing. In a way it's Marillions "Mama"; The build up, the energy, with all the elements of a perfect Marillion song. Hogarth at his best, amazing solos and finger play.
@@SuperRoario So sad the video footage was on hard drives that were stolen. H started Splintering Heart only a few meters from me. Standing on packing cases near the bar.
who's there in June 2007..who's here in July 2019, and this HEart splints in one MariLion*. Oh i guess that's one Holy eDenMark♥ And still and always shivering within these sounds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Right baby, right.
En todas las canciones de Marillion se crea una atmosfera .. feeling unico....que lo escuchas...y llega a tu alma...es como un vicio..partes y quieres mas...mas...puesta en escena ...ESPECTACULAR
Marillion r like a fine wine better with age best band in the world most powerful band i have heard lyrics and musically fish amazing Hogarth amazing Marillion fucking awesome drums guitars keyboards loved them since hearing garden party back in 1984 i was 12 they still blow my fuckin head off
This was the last tour that i saw marillion on and i was blown away by the sound quality for a live performance Chris bought me the tickets for my birthday and it was a superb evening
nothing to take away from H which is a great singer (and this down to the wonderful band taste!) but Fish poetry is awesome as well listen to their first album carefully! u wont regret!
What a band and loved both the Fish era and Steve as totally different unique vocalists but the transition worked as the sound got more sophisticated and the musicianship and song writing expanded incredibly. I play but nothing on these guys. Steve Rothery in my opinion is one of the best guitar players ever as his own defined style - know one compares to this guy in guitar mastery. It seems that Blues guitar players take the limelight in guitar player ratings but Steve's stuff is on a totally different creative level than 3 chord boredom - he is in a different league. Always in the background is Mark Kelly - OMG. I play keys and this guy is the best I have seen as a multi player - an exceptional master of his art and creativity - exceptional musician.
