When I was a teen, I listened to Manson because it was the cool and badass music to listen to. Nowadays, I just understand, relate and admire the genius.

I’m a Christian and I still listen to this song. I don’t like satan in the slightest but I love Mansons music even if I don’t relate to the lyrics in any of his songs
This song is genius, its basically shoving the absurd hypocrisy of being religious down every ones throat... there are those who choose "GOD" to justify there own evils... meanwhile they preach love and understanding, but do not accept those who have different views, different sexual orientations or otherwise just do not fit into the narrow scope of what they deem as "right"... Actually its about replacing God with Money and or drugs. The answer to Neitsche's observation question "God is Dead" (what are you going to replace it with) Mr. Manson seems to reckon that we have replaced it with Money, Drugs,, and escape that reality with sex, connection. Ironically The worst thing you can do for a drug addict is give him money. Its also about Mr Manson's disdain for addicts and their jealousy for people like Marilyn who have used drugs for recreation with out getting addicted. (hence the Cain and Abel reference) I think Say 10 is not just about "Satan" I think its about how while people claim to be worshiping a Judeo Christian "God" They are actually through their actions in life worshiping a false idol (money, drugs) and Breaking all their 10 commandments in the process while accusing others of heresy and blasphemy, killing their "God".... I could be totally wrong though and the whole thing might be about a homosexual blowjob he performed while high and on stage.
Manson has always taken a lot of criticism for using a smart strategy to get free advertising while really he himself is a lovely person overall with few weird tastes on a few things, his ability to make music is amazing and he can definitely go down as one of the most versatile and amazing song writers and composers of his generation. This song isn’t as inspired as his previous work but his composing is still top notch.

Yeah, I mean it's enjoyable. They always have been for those who appreciate pushing boundaries. Some great music came out of them trying to be as edgy as possible. But in the end, the whole "anti-Christian" thing of the 90s/early 2000s was a meme that meant little other than to make small-minded people think they're cool and clever and feel edgy. Simply for making their distracted and disconnected parents feel that they have lost control of some turd-ass generation that is actively working against their efforts to try and raise decent kids, despite their kid's trying to make themselves to be reprehensible, shallow, valueless, and otherwise entirely abhorrent individuals that feel they deserve everything with no effort.

@@BlahzezI like how throughout the whole season whenever the Pilgrim appeared he always dressed nicely and soft church music playing in background, his demeanor was always calm even when he was going on a killing spree. But when he chased Punisher on that ambulance, it's this Satan song playing in the background and his clothes was messed up. It's like the Pilgrim finally snapped.

Was all beat up with massive cuts just bleeding out. Then right after that he learns his wife is now dead and that they are holding his sons hostage. So from that point on he snapped and is no longer calm and cool.

Yeah I do. i find that generally people do things with good intentions, from moral or at least ethical standpoint. Of course Love, hate compassion and disgust are all cut from the same chord. Like with most art, u shouldn't try to interpret the lyrics in a literal sense, always. A lot of it is open for varying interpretations, hence, the beauty of art & true creative genius. Brian is a beautiful person, with a passionate 💖 spirit, & I am always, (personally), very touched & moved by his voice & his overall work as an artist. He's very courageous, (in my opinion), too. In almost every song he has a nice part. In this one it is "Cocaine&Abel". But he always cut the song with a nicer part. Wow. And the guitar before he said "Cocaine&Abel" is so nice. even under and after.
