what an amazing book collection. i think The Complete Films of MM is underappreciated. it's usually easy to find reasonably price too. At least I find it intriguing to read what the major film critics of her day had written in regards to Marilyn and her talents. The more we think we know Marilyn the more an enigma she seems! The Ted Jordan book is icky and the misinformation about MM and circumstances of her death have been muddied since her passing!
You have an amazing huge collection of Marilyn books. I have no fictional or controversial books but As a french fan, I am pretty lucky, I have almost all the french versions of Marilyn's famous english books and biographies, and there are french authors who did a great job too. There is "Marilyn la légende" by Henri Jean Servat a classic photo book, I really enjoyed " MM de A à Z"by isabelle Danel or "Monroerama", both have pictures and a very interesting texts.and "Marilyn je t'aime" by Jacky Goupil with lots of drawings and art, really beautiful, also "Marilyn 1962" no pictures but a very interesting view about the persons who worked for Marilyn, her masseur, secretary,..."Holy Wood" is a comic book very original, there is a well reviewed fiction book called "Marilyn X" by Philip Le Roy. Well, I stop here because there's a long list. thanks so much FOR SHARING and please make more videos about Marilyn books. It's great to hear your opinion and discover these rare books IN DETAIL
no problem I love looking at collections myself and thought I would share. will be doing more on my Marilyn collection in the future. thank you for viewing
Hi Andrea I bought some new biographies on mm based on your recommendation, and have enjoyed reading them, especially Cursum Perficio. I've collected a few since the early 1990's. I have one or two that I didn't see in your collection that I recommend for you :)
Stunning collection of Marilyn books. :) I was wondering if you could profile the Marilyn Monroe in Spain by Frederic Cabanas? I hope all is well with you and your family. Thank you. :)
Good morning Andrea i have been looking for a Marilyn Monre photo book since i was 14 and i have not yet found it although i have so many. Could you help me? The book have a full page color picture of Marilyn Monroe with Robert Slatzer. It is very important to me to find it because is a wonderful book with only pictures of Marilyn . Thanks a lot for your help!
wow! this is amazing Andrea! i think i messed myself up with the fictional books... all the last ones are fiction? and from those, which ones do you recommend? i am reading at the moment the one by Tara Hanks and i must say it is loooovely!
haha I only really like the ones that haven't been really about her sins of angels which is about someone trying to put on a Marilyn musical is good and a night in with Marilyn Monroe was fun
What a wonderful collector you are, well done. Yes, of course, MM is such an interesting person the more you learn the more one wants to know. My question: is there a picture book that shows Norma Jean / Marilyn from birth to death: a year by year pictorial account of her life. As to trace the incredible journey of transformation she lived? I knew you would be the person to ask. ps. What do you think of Lois Banner's Passion and the Paradox?
Zelly Kin thanks I love my books. I don't think there is a year by year photo book but that would be an awesome idea. Louis Banner hmm didn't really like the book she did twist things to suit what she wanted to say
Do you have any books by Ed Feingersh? I saw one with his photos but I didn't see the ones he released himself like, "Marilyn in New York" and the other one released in 1990 that is just called "Marilyn". If you have them what's your review? I love the photos inside the subway
Andrea's Attic For the few pictures I saw online (on abebooks) it looks stunning! You should get it! It would be an amazing add in your beautiful collection! :)
