Dean was very kind to Marilyn. He quit the movie after Marilyn was fired. What a nice man. She was going through stress and no one noticed. Imagine working with children when you wish you had them too. She did all but left single and without a child. Sad ending. Now people are watching her after shes dead.
It was Dean Martin's production company that was making this film, and in his contract he had costar approval, and he didn't like how Marilyn was treated and he didn't want to work with Lee Remick, who the studio signed to replace Marilyn. Twentieth Century Fox wasn't to happy that Marilyn was making films for other studios, like Some Like It Hot, and The Misfits. Her husband at the time, Arthur Miller had written The Misfits, and rewrote parts of the other. But, at this time, Arthur was gone. She owed Fox one more film, then she would be free of them. I kind of think she was being set up to be sued by Fox.
The way Dean says "That was good, though, huh?" after a take to the director is very endearing. Dean was very kind to MM. As it turned out, sadly, she did not have long to live. Remember to be kind to the people in your life.
aww..the way Dean behaved toward Marilyn. Unlike that awful Cukor who was always shouting to Marilyn and to the kids, Dean was nice and kind and constantly encouraged Marilyn and hugged her and was very supportive. Such a lovely man.
Marilyn was a diva and hard to deal with. Wish the film was completed. 20th century fox was almost bankrupt because of "Cleopatra". And needed this film for revenue purposes.
I’m 61 and grew up on my mom’s Dean Martin records and his variety show. What a great singer and comedian. He was born the same year as my mom, 1917. I saw a young pic of him pre-nose job and it was huge! That nose job was one smart investment in his career 😄
I watched a lot of videos about Marilyn and everywhere, whatever the film or the interview, Marilyn knew that she was being shot and played a role. I did not know what she really was. And in this video Marilyn understands that unsuccessful doubles will not show and we can see fractions of seconds from what she really was. She really loved her job.
These clip really are unedited, so there's a lot of dead spots, but it's still remarkable footage, for the reasons you mentioned. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ybcNjn3S6N0.html
She is SO lovely and to see how she struggled to remember her lines is painful. I think this would have been a wonderful film. All the episodes I have seen so far were so charming and lovely. If only Marilyn had the time to pull herself together she could have completed it. She was getting better, and I believe Fox firing her and re-hiring her would have helped to shake her up . I believe she realized she had to reduce the amount of pills she was taking. I also believe that Paula Strasberg was doing her more harm than good and Marilyn would sooner or later got rid of her. Such a shame Marilyn's time on earth was cut short, brutally, by a foul play by someone evil. RIP Marilyn, you are remembered every day by so many people. Justice for Marilyn.
@@bobbybrogan8643 Sounds familiar to Heath Ledger’s situation. He was sick finishing up filming, overly immersed in the joker character, extremely depressed over his divorce and couldn’t sleep at all. The mixture of medications did him in. Marilyn once said in an interview she was only happy if she was miserable. She battled depression, anxiety and insomnia. Fame can be a prison for certain people. She seemed like a beautiful person, inside and out.
I think most of the actors who worked with her liked her as a person. It’s a select few who genuinely took offense to her conduct. I mean, look how Sybil Thorndyke talked about her, and she was an OG of acting. So you know it’s more about those particular people than Marilyn herself.
Never has she looked so beautiful. How sad, sad, sad and whoever is at fault of her death, took the 8th wonder from all of us. And don't tell me "she killed herself bit....
@@classiclife7204 you grow up old man ... we work with evidences she didn't kill her self ... get some education, read about things then come talk shit
Men should take note. I saw another one of his BTS screen test with sharon tate for the Wrecking Crew. I am sure he was a gent with all his lady costars. And they certainly were ladies. What charm, what elegance.
Dean Martin was just a kind human. Marilyn was so beautiful how could you look at her and be mad? Her voice, her gentleness, just an extraordinary woman. I put her up there next to Diana ❤️
I love her too much! It’s crazy but In this video she seems destructed and you can tell . This was before she was murdered. Sad 😢 rip MM. you are missed!
Marilyn . 💋 MARILYN 💋 . Or, when you're a second cousin, of any children of a real world Marilyn; the word 'fan' is 'faded' definitely, and face is becoming longer, faster. BETA: FAN IS FADED Alpha: FAME IS FICKLE OR ---- It was 1962, I have classmates for the first time. We learn for seven years here. JFK: "I can retire FROM politics", after Happy Birthday sung wholesome-sweet by Marilyn Monroe. (Elementary School Class of 1969 first thru all K-6 grades) R-O-C-K in the USA! Or, Marilyn Monroe age 35, and Raymond Frankwick age 5, initial/age looks like last complete film "MISFITS" title in code: "THE MM35nRF5."---1961 " 34'4 1960 " 33'3 1959 " 32'2 1958 " 31'1 1957
As we movie experts know "Move over Darling." is a complete movie that's a remake of this movie of "Something's got to give."I saw Move over Darling years before The Special of "Something's gotta give." and of which was played on my Local Channel 25.One definite clue if not the only clue is the name of the woman Bianca.
Honestly, I blame the Strasberg's (Lee and Paula) for micro-meddling on the set. Truth is, when the picture was set to resume, there was to be a change of director as well as Lee and Paula to be banned from the set.
Marilyn was a diva and hard to deal with. Wish the film was completed. 20th century fox was almost bankrupt because of "Cleopatra". And needed this film for revenue purposes.
Billy Wilder (the director of Some Like it Hot and The Seven Year Itch) said all her flubs were worth the magic you got onscreen. The two fought while Some Like it Hot was being made but had sort of reconciled before the end.
Now that I’ve seen their clips together I can’t help but wish he was single and through this film they got together! It hurts to think she was being loyal to JFK who never deserved her. Just look at the way Dean Martin held her at the end it showed love, patience and protectiveness
Before a decade passed without Marilyn Monroe's vocal chords; I am cast in a school play. The high volume, in script, of Pinski's Villain of the DOLLAR.
MM’s natural voice is wonderful. She was was a beautiful, delicate lady. Too bad the studio didn’t realize what a gem and a great star they had on their hands. This would have another money making hit for Marilyn. There is no one like her anywhere nor will there ever be and that is the real tragedy.
Why Dean Martin hug her so awkwardly at the end 😂But he was nice to her and he left when Marilyn got fired and they're even buried at the same place in California RIP to both of them 🙏🏽🕊
She wasqnamaxing actress I believe she messed up because Hollywood agents writers and directors are cruel and rude! They put her down too much and sexual abused and used her, that she doubt her talent and self they lied to her she great actress I lover her express doesn't even seem like she's acting
With ALL the movie-magic, special-affects and realistic-animation technology available today, SURELY SOMEONE could figure-out how to connect ALL the scenes together to complete this movie. ☝ 🎥 🔹🎬🔹 📺 🔹🎭 🔹👍🔹 💫
@@sarahholland2600 Doris Day remake was Move Over, Darling. This movie was first done in 1940 with Cary Grant and Irene Dunne and titled "My Favorite Wife", which was IMO the best version. They made a number of great movies together. My all time favorite of theirs being "The Awful Truth." Very funny and entertaining. And no, Marilyn's last movie here was never released. Sadly.
She had sinces pain maybe whe accident took too many but there lot stories surrendered here deth she codnt cope but what an actresses she lived on this long
She had insomnia so she used to take a lot of sleeping pills to go to sleep and in morning in order to function she used to take a lot of vitamins (and this made her unstable and distracted)
