There are about ten hotels side by side in that area on the Bay of Banderas/Pacific all ~10 minutes walk from the Marina. I stayed at the Marriott and definitely give it a thumbs up - huge pool with bar, nice beach it shares with the 4 or 5 hotels to its north, good choice of restaurants, nice room, great view from room, etc. From eyeballing the outside of the others (e.g., Shangri-La, Velas, Melia, Westin, etc.), I'd guess they are similar but don't know for sure. All are very close to airport, literally five minute drive away. It was 15-20 minutes by Uber to go to the central part of city. Hope you get to go and have a great time.
