The Island is an action movie released in 1996, directed by Michael Bay and starring Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery. The plot revolves around an ex-Navy Ranger (Nicolas Cage) who is sent to a prison island called “The Island of the Dead” to rescue hostages taken by anti-government rebels, including an important government official.
