You’d be shocked to realize that most of the overweight marines ran a 23 minute 3 mile on average. It was just the pull ups some of the had problems with and a lot of them would still at least get 10.
Eyes forward back straight chin up shoulder blades rolled in look straight fast on the positive take a breath slow on the negative release the breath chest all the way down to the ground hold the contraction release slowly and repeat 🔁 so marines you are not considering proper form and order in your universe a little better than navy but watcha ⌚️ going to do your local biomedical engineer taking notes
@@user-fj6pf9hc3k Your army is even worse. Your most combat-ready units died at Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Zaporizhia. And for some reason, the Russian army did not suffer heavy losses, although according to you, there are mobilized and prisoners there, and by the way, you are still mobilizing, but not in Russia
They don't have to be combat related, only during official times of duty, whether active or reserve. You might have been joking, but you're spreading misinformation (VA employee, disability recipient, 22 yr Army vet).
I remember doing obstacle courses in High School and College. This is much harder. The only difference back then was that coaches didn't allow you to drink water on the hottest days UNTIL the first session was over. No water again in the 2nd session either. Double sessions
You 1000% could lol I was so unhealthy, short, drank nothing but Pepsi and smoked cigarettes right after long runs. Still could do that course in less than 60 seconds.
I was in basic at Lackland in Nov./Dec. of 1983. We had a couple "blue flag" days that were cold so we were issued extra blankets. It was really cold on the one and only day we ran the obstacle course, so they closed the water obstacles because they didn't want us to get wet. Oh, and the daily calisthenics were easier than my high school gym class. I completed basic training in worse physical condition than when I arrived. My Marine and Army buddies were jealous of our living conditions and chow hall, and I'd tease them because we got paid the same based on rank. But, we need ALL branches of our military and I'm forever grateful for each and every one. Mad respect for the crayon eaters, especially. 😁
Thompson is a beast, looks like a big boy but his spacial awareness is very good, he moves smoothly over the obstacles wasting little energy.....salute to all 🇺🇸
@@maryjanedavis9033 Seriously quit the disrespect. A Marine is a Marine. A Soldier is a Soldier (Army), A Sailor is a Sailor (Navy). An Airmen is an Airmen (Air Force). Therfore a Marine is not a soldier. All branches are not created equal nor trained the same. All branches play different roles. Thank you have a wonderful day.
my father was a Vietnam war vet but I fought as an Army Ranger after he passed of Lou Gehrig's Disease my senior year in high school. I fought like crazy to get thru basic, airborne, ranger, air assault school, which came easy at that point. Took almost a year to get thru all schools, but most proudest achievement other than my my children being born.
Передайте пожалуйста Капитану, что Америка это континент, а не страна.)) Просто я не до конца осознаю чилийский это капитан, гандурасский или может быть кубинский.))
@@ZahhaRaMahadevThere are 2 different America's that just so happen to share the same Hemisphere, so try again. Also, Capitan America is very much "United States Of America". He's a Fictional comic book character, in fact a Caricature of the _American_ spirit. Lol
Yooo, was the chest vault part recorded in Gleishdreieck Park? Love your content man, and love the fact you're in Berlin, keep up the absolutely stellar work 👍❤️
@@khanetia don’t have to be a marine. A lot of them aren’t real women either but that’s ok? Too many soft, weak minded and lazy people coming out of these schools now. We need better.
If you ever get the chance to try one of these courses, go for it Even as a consistent gym going guy it was incredibly difficult to get through the obstacles even at my own pace, especially the rope climb which they didn’t show It’s a good challenge and a good humbling lol
I have a friend who was training in the Russian special forces; they recruited highly trained people there. Almost every day is a 10 mile run in full gear. They put you in sparring with an experienced fighter until you fall, if you are very strong or a master, there were several fighters, but the essence was the same, you fell and they beat you. Thus, psychologically unstable people were excluded. Only those who were able to endure colossal loads and endure beatings in the ring remained.
Loved obstacle courses, but man those things fully tucked you out. Two of those and that’s it, ready to call it a full day. The kicker is always the boots!!! Man when I had to do any event (army) that required run or walking, I always brought special running boots. Thick soled terrain boots were a sure fire way to handicap yourself.
Optimism is the lesson we learn here today , after the push up he keep going without stopping and take again the first place . Solder’s brain is courage.🔥🔥🔥
Never thought I’d be that “salty Marine” who talks about how back in the day we used to actually complete all obstacles in the O-course, not just do burpees underneath them…but here I am.
Me too man. They didn’t ride the bars down or go over high bars and under lowers they just jumped them all. Looked like it was a workout on the o course, not the o course being the workout. Not to mention what you get out of doing the o course. It’s not just a workout, it’s an experience with skill mixed in.
@@aj20100608it makes me wonder if you were ever a Marine, you do realize they do multiple tiers on the same course lmao right? We very much still rude the ropes down, this is called a Tier 3 and it's not new, they've been doing this for awhile now, a Tier 1 is what you are use to, pretty much only POGs do Tier 1's and nothing else.
