Mario’s Super Picross - How to Play - Nintendo Switch Online 

That’s what I’m talking about, some good old Mario Picross.

Even Nintendo realizes that we're all too stupid to figure this series out for ourselves.

This felt like one of those old tutorials you'd watch too beat that one level.

An important picross tactic that they didn't cover here is finding the overlap of possibilities! For example, at 1:36 they mark off one square as impossible. If you look at the column, it has a single group of 2. That means the top lone square is automatically impossible too; no room for a pair. Then, of the 3 squares still open, the group of 2 could be either the top and the middle, or the bottom and the middle; either way, the middle square is *definitely* chiseled. And now that you know the middle one is chiseled, it can serve as a basis for further deductions It doesn't matter much on small puzzles like this, but on bigger boards, it's often the only way to solve a puzzle; you won't be able to solve a whole row or column at once, and instead have to find the overlaps of possibilities and work from there.

Excited for NA to try this game. Got this game years ago when I lived in Japan. There's a fun Wario mode that changes up the gameplay a bit. Great soundtrack, and addicting/challenging picross puzzles.

I have such fond memories of playing this game via emulation, along with the NP Picross series. I really liked BGM #2 and the fanfare that plays when I complete a puzzle. It's even better now because I have the Google Translate app on my phone, so I can finally read all that Japanese text.

Wait, what about this game warrants a T rating? Is this the only Mario game to actually have that rating?

I tried this game out and it's surprisingly fun. It's hard to learn sure but it's so cool to play. One of my favorite puzzle games now.

DKC2 is one of my favorite games of all time and I'm thrilled it's on Switch now. THAT BEING SAID, I own the game on five systems so it's not like it was impossible to play or take on the go before hand. Mario Picross is new FREE Picross I've never played that is themed. Its by far the best part of this new wave of games.

I love picross and im super excited to play this. For anyone else interested in learning picross I suggest Picross S 3 or 4 for the switch or Tomb of Nazarack if you like the over lord anime. Both have tutorials and systems to help guide beginners.

Hey Nintendo I have an idea on super Mario 3-D All-Star remember back in super Mario 64 where Shigeru Miyamoto planned the game to be a two player game for Mario and Luigi but then Luigi was scrapped out because of hardwood limitations well it’s the future now maybe we can put Luigi back in the game if you do not like this idea then that’s fine but if do like the idea try it out and hopefully thing goes wrong thank you for reading this Matias Espinoza

I am actually playing the original game on the original hardware. What a coincidence! I just unlocked the Ultra stages with Wario... I already put 50 hours if not more into the game to get there. And I am an expert in Picross... Very few people have completed or will complete this game...

Picross is better than most people realize. If you're reading this comment, try it out. It's kinda hard to understand at first, but once you get a grip on the concept, finishing a puzzle feels extremely rewarding. Don't be afraid to use hints while learning either!

Oekaki is actually kinda the only kind of math/logic puzzle I've ever enjoyed doing so I think it's pretty cool that this is coming to Switch :]

As someone who played Pokémon Picross and My Nintendo Picross: Twilight Princess, I feel like I'm gonna enjoy this game.

I downloaded the first game on my 3DS and enjoyed it, I'm surprisingly excited for this.

I love some picross.... even though it was Nintendo that showed them with Pokemon, Mario, and Zelda. This tutorial is to show off the small 5x5 puzzles, the 5 that is shown is all of them for that line.

It took me 80 hours to beat all the levels. Game gets tricky in the later stages

I LOVE Picross, gonna be pkaying it like there's no tomorrow... until I finish all the stages.

I kind of wish there'd be a remaster of this game with modern gameplay features. The music is amazing and almost all puzzles have an animation when completed, something even the most modern Jupiter Picross games don't have to this day.

This never came out in the US correct? I'm so excited! Loved the gameboy version and the music seriously fills me with so much joy.

Now all we need is the legendary snes game where Mario saves the world with help from new friends. A game highly praised by fans. A game with a character so popular that people want him in smash. That game is.. Mario's Time Machine We all know we want surfboard in smash

I loved the Gameboy game, so I'm glad this finally got a US release. (Now give us "Wrecking Crew '98") Curious why the ESRB rated it "T" though, making it the first Mario game to get that rating. (NOT counting the SSB series.)

I played rankeds of picross on the DS, even Japanese people were super bad at this for a so easy mechanic 🤷🏼‍♂️
