So, text version down here: (somewhat long) *1. Direction warping* Once you placed your warp pipe (or any other solid block), place the warp arrows at the ends you want to be enterable (right facing arrow is equivalent to a right warp in SMBX, and so on...). Then just use the arrow modifiers (warping Mario is a 2x2 square) to redirect Mario. Mario will change direction NEXT TO the arrows, not on top of them. Once Mario reaches a 2x2 (EDIT: or more, obiviously) block of any nonsolid block, the warp ends. *2. Same-Section marker warping* Follow the same procedure as 1, but instead of the warp having an end, place a warp marker (green W) in the pipe, and place a normal text modifier in it. Then place a destination marker where you want to go, with the same text in it as the text modifier, and place an arrow to the right of it (by default, warp Mario goes rightwards). The warp can be ended the same way as 1, and you can do multiple warps in 1 pipe (Mario enters a pipe, then somewhere else, then somewhere else, and then the pipe ends). Just make sure to use different text for all of the warps in it. *3. Section marker warping* The same procedure as 2, but name the text modifier (the one on the warp marker) like this: [destination text marker name],[destination section name] (no brackets) The destination marker can still be just the destination marker name.
@@mariannmariann2052 it worked but i had to put a red arrow on the side of the pipe on the other section, now i just gotta figure out how to use warp note blocks
ikr XD mario maker is a ripoff, its slightly easier to use just because of the way that the ground forms itself and places scenery for you, but all of the "fanmade" ones do way more than mario maker. and they are free. nice money steal, nintendo, maybe next time make a reason to pay for it over better ways that are free. the only thing its got goin for it is that its easier to share your levels.
lincoln pepper But Super Mario Maker also has different game tiles and stuff.(SMW,NSMB...) Buuuuuut...Besides that, you're right. Which one's your favorite? Mine is SMBX.(it's most people's favorite) Actually, scratch that,I can't decide either SMBX or Mario Editor...
When I got this game this vid helped me a lot :P thx for making this vid you should do more Mario editor and I mean ALOT more and take a break from SMBX btw my level is called "I restart XD" pls play it it's really cool
Here is an example: Text Modifier should look like this: pipe,(name of section you want to warp to). And Destination Modifier should look like this: pipe. Oh and don't forget, place the text modifier on the warp marker, and the destination modifier on the top right of the warp pipe. If what the video shows doesn't work, this should fix it. (I don't have a hatred for bossedit8)
SMBX 2.0 or Mario Editor, what the best? I think SMBX, because you can import custom sprites, music, can create your own Mario game and use SMB 1, 2, 3, World, even Zelda or Metroid items (In 2.0 some NSMB, Mario Maker, Sonic, Crash Bandicoot and more) I know, that ME has a lots of blocks and powerups (but all powerups are from Hello Mario Engine)
Hi, can I know what apps you use to screen recording this game? Because I try to screenrecording using laptop, but once I open the apps, the Mario game becomes slowed, I am so frustrating with it, can u help me?
When I tried to blast through the cannon pipe, I found this glitch where it does not shoot me out, but makes me fall into the same sub-area that the pipe I went through was. What do I do?
It does not work when it entered the 1 pipe if it serves but when I enter the 2 pipe that should take me to 1 it stays blinking in black and does not take me to the 1 pipe
