Once, when I was a kid, I was playing the level in Star World with the block floor. At the same time Mario got hit, the yoshi grew and dead Mario landed on it and it just stayed for a few seconds then faded back to the Star World.

Im just gonna say it: Mario is a magician

Does anyone else ALWAYS hold the run button? I hold down the run button for every Mario game! Edit: I'm happy I'm getting replies 5 years later, it shows that people still care about Super Mario World and it's amazing glitches

I'd like to know how Yoshi doesn't end up with massive heartburn from all the things he eats: fire flowers, bullet bills, Blargg, etc. And you'd think that with all the Blarggs and undigested koopa shells he eats that he'd gain weight. How does he stay so lean with a diet like that?! I can imagine my next physical: ME: Doc, I can't lose weight. What should I do? DOCTOR: I think I'll start you off with a prescription of... let's see... three goombas and a Blargg every evening. If that doesn't work in 3 months, come back and I'll throw in a few piranha plants.

Cool to relive the pleasure of discovering all these glitches again! Nice video, great execution. It was quick, simple, and a great way to motivate me to start playing SMW again! (my only question: how did you avoid copyright claims?!)

The other night I [somehow] managed to glitch the GBA port. After messing around, I got to the end of the level and a whole chunk of the land behind the tape thing was missing. Needless to say I was absolutely thrilled!

The very first glitch in this video was one I just encountered yesterday. I just got an SD2SNES and it came with games on the SD card, and I was playing the Super System arcade version.

An game that marked my childhood

I've done the "Die with Yoshi" "Glitched 1-ups" and "Super Music Speed" so many times when I was a kid... Good times...

I have just descovered a New glitch, and if anyone writes what in the answers, then I will Tell it! Also 6:01 glitch is used in the lowest score run.

The first one is very similar to a glitch in new super Mario bros DS, at the end of 1-1 there's a red koopa standing on 3 blocks, if you break one of them as the koopa is about to step on it he will enter a similar invulnerable state as the koopa in this clip, Mario and the koopa can chill together since neither of them can hurt each other

If you want to do the death animation with yoshi glitch, an easy way to do it is in the first level of forest of illusion, go where the wiggler is over the spring and hop there with yoshi. You might either take damage on yoshi if your any big Mario’s, or you will get the death animation with yoshi

Glitches, be they computer or video games, have always been a fear of mine. Don't ask me why. Mostly the really strange graphical ones like the glitched 1-Ups in this video. I feel like spiders are about to crawl all over me! Anyone else have this fear?

I played mairo world for years many times completed the game since the 90s and still play it this day. Best snes game imo. Never had any of these glitches so i wonder if its all real.

There is also an out of bounds glitch in Yoshi's island level 2. Before the checkpoint there is a hill. On one of the corners you press left and spin jump off of Yoshi with A at the same time and back on without touching the ground. Make sure Yoshi's touching the corner. Once you are back on Yoshi immediately press right, but don't jump. If done correctly you should fall through the hill to your death

The 1-up one actually isn't a glitch, but a scrapped feature that was kept in. Nintendo thought you couldn't get a chain of enemies defeated till you get a bunch of coins. There's actually a graphic for 5 1-ups (5-up), though it went unused because of the reason mentioned in the previous sentence.
