Mario it was so fun to have you in OAKA. I can see what happened but it was wrong. They tried to retain first the two best (relative) young Greek players and did not show you the respect you would like to have. And they still manage to lose both of them. We lost Mitoglou and next year we released Papapetrou. Damn it man. So bad managment. They should have started negatiations with you. You were the best among them. And they shouldn't have left Pap to leave. One stupid move after another. Good luck with your career. I hope you will join Pana again. We love you
Mario, you were unlucky to find Panathinaikos being in a mess, trying to cope with all this situation after Gianakopoulos decided not to continue supporting the club..I just wish things were normal and we could enjoy watching you with the Panathinaikos jersey for many years.Hopefully this will happen in the near future!
Mario Hezonha is the one who made you fall in love with basketball, go to Unics games. I was not interested in this sport before, but after going to one game, I now go to all UNICS games. I try to follow Mario's career, we saw each other live, a very pleasant young man, and a professional in his field.
I always felt like Mario was really talented to stick to the NBA but I agree that the label the league and the American media has given him affected his playing minutes in the NBA specially in Portland. He was a solid guy here in New York when he was with our team. I was so disappointed when Portland benched him, we could've still use him now.
lol if anybody understood what the issue with Panathinaikos was, please tell me, because all i heard was a bunch of words that made little sense coming from Mario. From what i understood he was either upset that he wasn't the first man they negotiated for or he was upset that the offer wasn't as good or as "rich" as he or his manager according to him would have hoped. And imo , out of the Papapetrou, Mitoglou, Mario trio, as far as Pao's needs , Papapetrou and Mitoglou should have been the first people they tried to negotiate for. Papapetrou and Mario basically play the same position and Papapetrou is younger + a much better facilitator. So it makes sense that he would be the priority. Then in terms of Mitoglou he was by far their best option at the 4 (which they didn't manage to replace since he left) so obviously they would have gone for him before Mario since , as i said, the already had Papapetrou in case Mario left. Obviously ideally they would have kept all 3 but if Mario was upset at him not being 1st priority in the negotiations then...i don't know...
I once had to explain what a web browser is to a russian smartass that lives in america for the last 30 years.. hes also a gamer and i had to explain what FPS means... russians eh?
Did i understand it right? Answering the first question he said that the nba is more physical than the nba? It just seems not like that, because the players are just losing focus in a game or they dont really care that much about winning?
Wait, so if I understand him correctly, he said he went from 6'6" and let's say 215 lbs to 6'9" and 250 lbs? That's a hell of a body change in a few years.
