Yeah Mario has a power-up that lets him be a Cat, but that’s not the weirdest thing, he also becomes a Tanooki, a Frog, and a Penguin.

I don't know who told you it was supposed to be a fox. They might've confused it for the Super Leaf powerup, which turns LUIGI into a Fox, while Mario turns into a Racoon (or Tanuki).

Fun Fact: Theres more after the final boss. World star is unlocked afterwards, complete it and u can play as Rosalina. BUT THATS NOT ALL World Mushroom and World Flower unlock afterwards to act as bonus levels and Boss rematches BUT THATS NOT ALL, Get every Stamp, Green Star and hit the top of every flagpole and you unlock World Crown It has only 1 real level and its one of the hardest in the franchise. Overall, pretty good post game content

Honestly given how this is one of the last level by level based Mario games, it’s probably one of my favorite Mario games

The Cat suit you see here is indeeda "Cat" suit. I think you may have this confused with the Tankui power-up, which turns Mario into a Tanuki, which also is not a fox but a racoon dog.

Hey. My personal opinion of Gamechamp’s longest video was an 8 month long excursion of the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Spiritsless Skilless challenge. It is 1 hour 18 minutes, but it is the longest Gamechamp spent on a video besides the rockman one and number infinite, so. :P

The interesting thing about the GamePad mechanics in the Wii U version of this game is that it was somewhat promoted as a "5-Player" feature, in the sense that you have 4 people playing normally with Wiimotes or Pro Controllers, and then another serving as general support on the GamePad

Not all of Gamechamp's videos feature ultra-challenging runs, but they're *always* ultra-entertaining. The most infamous of these not-challenging challenge runs are probably GameChamp's series on the Kingdom Hearts games, half of which is "Can you beat Kingdom Hearts (1 or 2 depending on the video) at Level 1." Which is literally a dev-intended difficulty option. You just choose not to gain experience points using the option the devs gave you to do just that, and the games are totally designed around this being possible (KH1 slightly less so than KH2 because the option was added in a much later rerelease of the game, but it's still something the devs put in knowing it needed to be possible). Despite that, they're some of my favorite videos on the channel, admittedly in part because Kingdom Hearts is my favorite series of games. (If you're curious, the other half of Gamechamp's KH series consists of two Chain of Memories videos, one about beating the game at level 1 and the other about beating the remake of that game with a one-card deck. Chain of Memories has a very weird, very unique combat system involving playing cards in real-time in order to attack, so that second run, which also happens to be their most recent video, basically translates to "can you beat Chain of Memories without the ability to use combos." This is not dev intended and turns out to be VERY difficult. Beating the game at level 1, on the other hand, is actually completely impossible because the devs didn't add that option this time, so Gamechamp settles for taking level-up bonuses that do not help in any way whatsoever. It's also not dev intended, and thus technically a challenge run, but it's significantly less difficult than a lot of Gamechamp's runs and WAY less difficult than the One Card challenge.)

3D World is the first appearance of the Cat form and is the 15th installment in the Super Mario series and a sequel to 3D Land for the 3DS. Note that Mario usually has a Tanuki form with Luigi having a Fox form. Also note that I mean *Super* Mario specifically, as the Mario franchise as a whole is older than the Super Mario series which has taken the place of the mainline franchise. Despite being a WiiU title which has suffered from bad marketing this game was incredibly successful being the second highest selling WiiU game. It even managed to get a spin-off prequel called Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, based on the Captain Toad segments in this game. 3D World later had a rerelease on Switch with the subtitle Bowser’s Fury which straight up has Mario transform into a giant super saiyan cat fighting a giant demonic Bowser.

Here’s the funny thing about multiplayer 2-D platform Mario after the DS, the funny thing is that throws and partner abilities were implemented to help clearing courses faster with a buddy cause it was never a thing to have 2 players play the same stage. Problem is, that players saw this and immediately started a trend where you are to screw over your partners rather than working together to finish the level

Very uncultured but to me it’s fun to watch people go into stuff they don’t know about.

I feel like you should add this game to list of Nintendo games you should play if you ever get a Switch. Because this actually had a Nintendo switch re-release that also came with another game called Bowser's Fury which if you remember my list of Bowser feats, is the one where you team up with Bowser Jr. Because his dad has become giant, black, Scary, and pissed as all heck, more than usual. As for a bit of context as what the different characters do: Mario is average, Standard running, Jumping, yk, standard. Luigi has a higher jump and while there are some things different with his mobility, I honestly think he's the best overall character in my book. Peach is slow but she can float in mid air if you hold down the jump. And Toad doesn't jump high but he is STUPID FAST.

This game's title can come off as really weird for someone who's never played a Mario game, so let me explain: In 1989, Super Mario Land was released as a launch title for the Game Boy. It was a simple 2D platforming game, where you run and jump through levels and reach the end. In 1991, Super Mario World was released as a launch title for the Super Nintendo. It was a big budget 2D platforming game with gameplay similar to Land. In 2011, Super Mario 3D Land was released for the 3DS. It was the first 3D Mario platformer on a handheld (that wasn't a remake). It was the first 3D Mario game to utilize the stereoscopic 3D featured on the 3DS (back when 3D TVs and gaming was a fad). It was the first 3D Mario platformer where you run and jump through levels and reach the end (instead of collecting stars). In 2013, this game, Super Mario 3D World, was released for the Wii U. It was not the first 3D Mario game on a console (in fact, it's the fifth). It did not use stereoscopic 3D at all (because by that time, the 3D fad was already dead). But it was a Big Budget 3D platforming game with gameplay similar to 3D Land.

One person 4 controllers: ah, yes. Nothing screams "don't make me do Champions Road (SM3DW's final secret level and the hardest one) again, PLZ" than this *In order to 100% the game, you need to collect everything, get the top of the flagpole in every level AND complete all the levels as all of the 5 characters. This means, you are suppose to complete Champion's Road, which let's remind it's a hard inferno that pushes your limits I dare to say even MORE than a jumpless run, FIVE! TIMES! The trick? Use the character you are good at it (possibly the one with a good elevation) arrive at the goal, connect the controllers and toss everyone to the flagpole. Repeat one more time for the 5th character. No one, not even the ones with one singular controller has the BALLS to do that level 5 times.

I don't consider this run complete there's 8 more worlds in that game after beating bowser/meowser and an extra difficult secret level you unlock by beating every level with every character.
