i'm sure you all can remember the glorious sights of being STAMPEDED by hundreds of yoshi lobbies/players online. or seeing a million "WAHs" all over pre-wave 4. why exactly does everyone do this, especially in a children's racing game? well, it all boils down to two words: character bias. watch the short to find out more about what such a bias is actually like!

I either choose shy guy or dry bones! Shy guy is mk 7 main and dry bones is my wii main so in mk 8 deluxe it is one of those two. They have the perfect balance of cute and creepy!

I don't get online (some limitation with the network) But I get the character bias in general... I can't not play as my Mii. (He's in the Heavy Catagory and I just like him)

Hear me out, My main is Male Villager, my Switch username has Male Villager and my Mii IS Male Villager. This just goes to show that Male Villager is MY Character Bias. I do want to try other characters out, however I will have withdraws if I play as anyone other than Male Villager, I can't do it man...

For lightweights, Toad is my choice. As for medium weights, I alternate between Ludwig and Inkling Boy (blue). Pauline is my heavyweight main.

I choose Birdo (Light Blue or Red) when I go meta. My alt meta mains are Villager (boy), Iggy, and Ludwig. My light weight mains are Toad and Toadette. My go to heavy is Funky Kong. Last, but certainly not least, my troll picks are Wendy and Pink Gold Peach.

Baby Luigi is my character bias. Trust me, I have a reason. I saw someone using this combo, not getting much speed but reaching max fast. It had better handling and traction as well, and it kinda grew on me the more I used Mr. Scooty, Regular rollers, and Cloud Things.

Glad you picked Funky Kong over Wario and Dry Bowser because Wario smells really bad and Dry Bowser is a imposter! Pretending to be me in the same race, clearly we are two different characters in this game! Funky on the other claws is cool, he's got that surf board and those shades.😎

I believe there are 3 main reasons why competitive players use yoshi (When I say competitive I mean lounge and tournaments). Reason one is obviously yoshi has the best stats. Reason two is yoshi has multiple colors so it’s easy to coordinate a yoshi color with teammates. Reason 3 is since everyone uses yoshi it’s a lot easier to target someone that’s using a different character. Another point I could see someone making is that yoshi is he smallest so you can see more, but the difference is very small especially when compared to the old waluigi vs dk vs Roy meta.

@@roboverse6234 the yoshi on yoshi bike was on the wii U actually, on switch i have been almost purely shyguy, I don't care about following the meta because I don't like playing online, I only play against my friends since I have beaten the game at all speeds and my friends play casually so i don't need to follow a meta, but then again looking at my pokemon team its clear that the rule of cute is just my style with my favorite pokemon being alolan vulpix and my favorite pokemon that you can actually get in modern games is sylveon(it holds its owner hands with its ribbon like feelers, which is super adorable), also I apologize for the awful spelling on my comment, it was on mobile and i have fat thumbs, this was on keyboard so it should be more readable.
