I always thought she was one of the best characters design-wise, it wasn't until recently that I found out that most people don't like her and I don't know why.

No! This game was out before Deluxe. This was the first game. Dry Bones, Bowser Jr., Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy, and King Boo are not in the Wii U version. Like I said, this game was out before Deluxe. In November 2014, Link was in the Wii U as DLC, and in 2015, there were Animal Crossing DLC racers Villager and Isabelle. Oh, and in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has Gold Mario as Metal Mario’s palette swap, and Villager was split into Boy and Girl. Mario Kart 8 came out in 2014, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe came out in 2017.
