Great video - why is it important to have the racer CPUs on a IP outside of the 20-254 range? Do they not work if they are within the range? And does wired vs wireless make any difference assuming your signal is strong?
the last octet can be anything but the the addresses must start with 192.168.1. I tried on good WiFi 6E but still get stutter. wired is always to win out for latency
Also, someone said you can’t get the SFRush/Rush2049/CaliforniaSpeed tap adapter games to work the same time as the regular lan games. I am just about to the point to test that but have you noticed if that is the case already? We will have to look into scripting the enable and disable of the tap adapter with pre/post exe commands via Launchbox/Bigbox if so.
Im so much into initial d 8 for now. Is it possible to play with friends over the net with publuc ip address by port fowarding or not using router in that way :) just curious
@@Brad-D Is it possible for an individual to become a server and a client and connect via LAN just by entering the IP address without going through the Techno Parrot server? thank you for your reply
Thank you for the video. I am having an issue. I followed the steps in your video. I double and triple-checked everything. However, I never get the connecting message. Both PCs are on the same network and both are hardwired not on wi-fi. Does it make a difference if they don't start at the same exact time? I've gotten them to start within 1 second of each other. I just never get the connecting message. :(
The timing doesn’t matter. If they are set for two player mode, you’re always going to see the connecting message. In fact, if you only start game on the player 1 PC, it will sit there on the connecting screen forever waiting for the player 2 game to connect If you aren’t seeing the connecting message, all that means game is still set for single player in the test menu options Make sure to set the total number of cabinets to 2 on the same screen where you’re sitting your cabinet and ID’s
@@Brad-D Hi. Thank you for the reply. How do I set the number of cabinets? I've looked everywhere in the test menu and unless it's called something else I don't see it. Apologize for the many questions.
@@jayvee5886 I’m sorry I got your comment confused with one that was left on my video for Outrun 2 😅 For Mario kart you don’t need to set the number of cabinets and you shouldn’t see a connecting message. Unlike, with outrun2, This game let you play one player or two player regardless of if a second cabinet connects You just need to have a cabinet ID selected (With player one having ID number 1 player two having ID number 2)
…you should be able to set these cabinet ID’s in the TeknoParrot game settings next to PlayerID Also be sure you PC are using a 192.168.1.X address range
One question are you on Facebook or how could I reach you if I can’t get it to work or do you have team viewer that you can get in to help if you can help me I will donate first for your help to me How can I reach out to you
