Mario Kart Midnight is an UNOFFICIAL modification of Mario Kart Wii created by Mayro, ‪@DemonzDay‬, and ‪@ZPL__‬. It cannot be purchased. Remember that modding your consoles is not without risks, and I do not take responsibility for anything that may or may not go wrong.

Mario Kart Midnight uses Riivolution patches which means it can be played on a modded Wii, Wii U, or Dolphin emulator.
On Wii or Wii U, you must first install the homebrew channel.

On Dolphin, you can right-click your game and select "start with riivolution patches". You'll need to download one of the beta builds.

Playing online on Wii or Wii U is easy. Go to the online menu like normal and connect to the Wiimmfi custom servers. On Dolphin, you need to extract your NAND from your modded Wii or Wii U. You cannot play online on Dolphin if you do not have a Wii or Wii U. I personally struggled to get it working so I'm not sure what the best tutorial is to link. But look around and I'm sure you'll find
something. Dumping the NAND on Wii U is different from on Wii which tripped me up a bit.

The pack's great! Appreciate what you're doing for the community. Also, something to mention, the pack seems to be broken on Dolphin as Mega TC's and 200cc does not seem to work after the 1.3 update.

I wonder if 2.0's gonna add ghosts to the game. In terms of that, I recently discovered a custom pack creator named Melg who managed to add ghost data to their Skill Issue Hack Pack.

For some reason, on dolphin with the full version I still don't have the custom music on the tracks (I didn't have this issue with 1.1 version of midnight)

I have the original mario kart wii iso and the midnight patch but its extracting a bunch usless png files and btrm files ive patched many iso and wbfs files including suprr mario sunburn and no issues and im using unipatcher which is for wii games but the game wont show up on my game list or my file manager and im using zarchiver which usually has no problems im also using an old version of dolphin which doesnt force you to choose a different folder im able to store all roms on my root folder and i have over 40gb of space left so whats the problem how do i get this running and hopefully not drain my battery too fast thanks

I love this mod but I honestly wish I could still play the original Mario Kart Wii tracks with it I tried adding their .szs files into the course folder but that didn't work, if anyone knows a way to add them back in I would greatly appreciate it

like the mod. Custom music is just icing on the cake.The other big mod didn't really do it for me. Having said that while the tracks are amazing some can really lag when playing with 2 or more players (didnt have that on the other big mod tho). I haven't found a link to any kind of support so i'll ask here: is there a reason for this? Is it on the mods end or on my hardware's (wii) end?

Yeah, most CT creators don't bother optimizing for local play since most people just play online and it generally isn't worth the extra effort sadly ):
