Pretty decent times, and Funky is my preferred character as well. Wish he was back in MK8. The racer makes some pretty bad mistakes though including Bowser's Castle. On the last bend he was trying to land and ride the brick wall but missed and hit into the other wall. If you land that it will take seconds off your time. But in all a pretty decent run.

@Alex Lester, he avoided the POW by spamming the trick/wheelie button. You still lose your items, but you keep your speed. He did the still boost by stopping and drifting. Doing that gets you back to top speed in about 2-4 seconds.

Its when someone goes through a whole game as fast as possible. TAS stands for Tool Assisted Speedrun that is where they use emulators to go as fast as possible and sometimes break the game.

Instabaken YT Actually it is not. RU-vid has a feature since not that long ago and it can translate the title. It doesn't recognize the language that often but sometimes it translates the title into the language you have activated in your RU-vid settings. And that makes it look like it is an English video but actually it is not. Or were the words in the game English? No, they were not. To be precise, they were German, just as many comments you see below this video.

@Wiitendoh, although Funky is the fastest, people still use other characters, the others mainly being Rosalina, Daisy, Baby Daisy, Toadette, Dry Bones, and Baby Luigi.

He (or she) low tricks. To low trick you just have to keep jumping near a ramp and you don't get as much air. That's usually a good thing because going high when you trick slows you down a bit.

How did you get hit by a pow block and then carry on also how do you get a boost when still?

For the POW Block trick, you shake the Wii remote at the moment when the POW Block disappears. For boosting while still, hold down both the 1 and 2 buttons and release 1.

That's one of the most maddening parts of Mario Kart. I've been in several MK Wii races where I was hit with no less than seven, yes 7 blue shells. But having every racer hit you with a shell and then getting hit with the squid is pretty bad.

Nick Jones If you use a mushroom boost right before the blue shell is about to land, you can actually outrun it. You have to time it just right though. Surprised the guy here didn't use it when he could've.
