You'd need to theme every stage around one theme tho which most future games don't. Honestly, I prefer them as one thing deal as it makes this entry more unique as a result. I like having each one (mostly) their own themes and atmospheres. Costumes aren't as cool as the unique stories of each boards tho!
I wish they did, I like to picture 6’s boards having costumes, like Faire Square having masks and feathers like mardi gras or some other carnival festival, or maybe E Gadd’s Lab gives everyone a lab coat
Even If you don't think Mario Party 2 is one of the best Mario Party games, no one can deny that it's probably the most important title in the series since it introduced so many elements that would be further expanded upon. Items, Battle/duel minigames, the bank that would later change into the lottery shop in 4, hell even Mario Party 6's entire concept was just horror Land's gimmick in a nutshell. There's just something special about 2, and Nintendo knows it, considering it's the only title they've ever re-released in this series.
1. The first maro party introduced far more elements than mario party 2 just by being the first one. 2. Nintendo didn't release mario party 1 because there was a lawsuit involving hand injuries in the n64. And who knows why they didn't release number 3 they could have intended but it was sidetracked.
My favorite game in the series has always flopped back and fourth between Mario Party 2 and 3. While 2 has the better boards and more enjoyable minigames, 3 made better use of items and refined a lot from 2. The third game also has a really good minigame selection (with all 70 being brand new) and a pretty good side mode. However, how fun MP2 is makes it pretty much a tie between the two every time.
Learn to mash better 4Head. Low key if you stop using your thumb joint to press the button and just vibrate your arm/hand on the button like a crazy person you will shit on 98% of people in mashing games.
"It strikes enough of a balance for a strategy to matter, while still giving luck a chance to craft memorable moments." A really good thesis statement for what makes a board (or mario party in general) really fun. It's the design principle I try to follow to explain why certain stuff work and others don't. Mario party needs to be designed with that in mind. It's false to think just randomness and luck is what the game is striving for.
I liked the theming of Mario Party 2. There was a story that was very simple and adapted to every board. I want future games to return to the idea of theming and just make some really wacky boards and scenarios. There are so many different simple ideas for boards that could have amazing gimmicks, and just feel fun and weird at the same time. Mario Party 2 has very generic themes, but they go all out with them, even having costumes for every character, and some theming in both the dual and item games, and the ending sequence with Bowser. Compare this to Super Mario Party. Really simplistic themes, but not much is done with it. It just feels like you are playing in that area, not that you are in this wacky fun experience. There are so many ideas that could be used for boards and costumes that just thinking about it gets me excited. The main one that I've come up with that always comes to my mind is this.... -A prison where all the players are in prisoner attire, and are trying to get enough stars to escape. There's a ton of risk for reward involving Snifit Guards, who will send you back to your cell if you get caught. I'd love to hear the ideas of anyone reading this comment in the replies, as there is loads of potential.
Nobody talks about MP3 for one main reason: It was never re-released, unlike how 2 was re-released on Wii and Wii U. 4-9 are all also playable on Wii, and with how crazily the Wii sold, it means that most people had access to these game as long as they could find them at the store and buy them. Grab a 3DS and you'll scoop up all the handheld ones, and then all you're left without are Super, 10, 3, and 1. Super got a bunch of buzz and is still relevant because it's the current one, 10 (like 9) had everybody screaming about the Car and had a bunch of people talking about how the new modes work, and 1 is the original, so by default it gets tons of coverage because of Let's Plays, retrospectives like yours, and control stick spinning memes. So then 3 just goes and kind of gets discarded as "that other N64 one that is probably pretty cool but I need to get an original console to play it on". I'm basically the perfect example of who bought what Mario Party during the Wii's lifespan: I got 2 on the Wii Shop, got DS later to play with my siblings, and eventually got 6 once I started getting interested in older games that weren't immediately accessible to me. While my research has basically already proven that Mario Party 3 might just be my favorite game I've never played, I simply can't experience it for myself due to not being able to access the hardware. Most other N64 games worth playing have already been re-released or remade at some point, so is there really any point in me tracking down enough hardware for this single game that I already basically own 3 slightly different versions of? Completely unrelated, if any of you are craving more long-form Mario Party content and breakdowns, then you should check out ZoomZike's channel. He's got an hour and a half long video on Mario Party 1 and is also planning on going through most of the series. He deserves the views.
@DevilKaz While I would say it's probably the best of the N64 set, that seems a little extreme. Consider for a moment the number of good games you could get for cheaper both in terms of money, devoting new console space to, and replacing any hardware that craps out due to being ancient.
@DevilKaz WHAT IF people don't want to buy consoles from the 1990s that are inflated to hell to play good games, and would rather play on a wii/wii u/ds/3ds/switch?
@DevilKaz Looked on Ebay, and the total for the game, console, and controllers is ~$100. Fairly certain I'm not a cheapskate for making the rational financial decision of not making this purchase when I already have plenty of other games that fulfill the same purpose.
Can't wait for the mario party 3 video. A lot of issues you had with MP2 are fixed in MP3. It's probably my favourite mario party alongside mario party DS.
I love how the ending for each level differs and that they wear different costumes for different levels. Wish this were not the only MP game with these two elements.
3 has always been my favorite in the series, but still go back to 2 sometimes if I'm in the mood for a different minigame set or just for the fact that I love the Horror Land board so much.
Hell yeah and I just noticed that Liam Triforce edited this video, do not know if he has done others but that is awesome. I love his content as well, great to see creators helping each other out.
Will gladly agree to the first, but the second is a little extreme. 4, 6, AND 7 are all extremely good. It's hard to pick a top outright, but I'd say the series highpoint is its middle. Even its worst game is better than 1, 9, and 10.
Not going to lie. Ever since Mario Party: The Top 100, I've learned to hate honeycomb havoc. Once you're skilled enough it feels luck-based, especially the last round. If there is an odd amount of fruit then the player who rolls first wins, whereas if it's even the second player wins.
@@byakuyatogami2905 You played Mario Party 2 in class? That sounds awesome! I wonder what lead the teacher to bring an N64 to class. Did he bring 4 controllers? Did the students even know how to HOLD that thing? Did use an original cartdrige or an Everdrive? Or did he use a notebook and an emulator? Or was a Nintendo Switch? Was it a reward for good behavior or something? "Whoever scores 7 or up in the test gets to play a round of Mario Party!" Sounds like an effective discipline tool.
Mario Party 3 is an Amazing follow up to MP2. It just didn't get the attention coming out near the end of the 64's. It's honestly better than MP4 just for the Level design alone and personality.
I agree. A number of minigames are questionable and the AI has a clear advantage in a couple, but I feel like it achieved the perfect balance with its gameplay and had a lot of variety. Not to mention the battle mode where you have 2 partners. Also some of the best boards in the series.
4 is probably the blandest looking title in the MP series. Yes, even more bland than 9 (I haven't played 10), because despite 4 being a better _game,_ 9 has way more variety in its color palette, theming, and even board events compared to 4's gray board design that appears in all of the boards and most of the themes and detail surrounding them being rather forgettable, with the exceptions being Goomba's Greedy Gala and Toad's Midway Madness, as well as having little to no unique board events to begin with.
I'll never understand why 4 is so many people's favorite. The boards are beyond plain with the characters only moving on that metal grid hovering above the actual map.
Finally, episode 2 of Chance Time! This was the single Mario Party game I had as a kid. Was so glad when I learned that the overall MP community tends to hold this entry in high regard.
It's definitely one of the best in the series. Not my favourite (I would even dare say it's a small bit overrated) but I understand the praise and even agree with most of it.
No one talk about Mario Party 3? I heard it is considered the best one. And I agree. A real shame and oddity that it was never released for the Wii VC. I understand why 1 didn't make it (destroyed analog sticks), but why was 2 the only one?
I have Mario Party 3, I have played 2 a few times and always hear that is the best Mario Party and I find it curious since I think 3 is almost the same but better in a lot of stuff and nobody talks about it
I completely agree. Me, my first roommate, and her boyfriend (close friend of mine), got so into MP3 that we had a chart on the wall tracking our wins. I was the underdog and came out ahead, always played as Waluigi. Like, most of the problems he mentions here, especially only having one item and not being able to throw them away, is fixed. There are still a few luck based minigames, but...I like a dash of chaos. That's what makes Mario Party extreme. The things I saw those people do.
Rodolfo Valenzuela Having three items makes the game so chaotic and it’s why MP3 is my preferred Mario party to this day. It also means that mini games have a very huge role because most people will have to buy the magic lamp or boo bell makes having a high coin count essential to winning
I think people like 2 better for the aesthetic; it remains the only game with the board-specific costumes, where 3's cardboard aesthetic that sort of tries to resemble an actual board game isn't as inherently appealing. 3 is way better though, no doubt.
There is one thing I'd give Mario Party over the sequel, and that's what happens after someone gets the star. The original having Chance Time spaces replace where the star was gives a bit of a comeback possibility for those pursuing the same star, as well as ensuring that the possibility of Chance Time occurring too early on would be low (well, for the boards that have moving star spaces, at least). In Mario Party 2 you get penalized for trying to win that race to the star instead; here's Baby Bowser, you lose five coins! Don't you wish you had tried a different approach than the one that would win you the game in the most efficient manner? It may just be more of a bias against Baby Bowser's presence, though. Or possibly the Bowser Bomb, come to think of it...
I like it since Baby Bowser since he removes Coins from the game, and same with the Koopa Bank, essentially. Mario Party is at its best when players don't all have a crazy amount of coins, and in my experience that happens in 2 a lot: Someone will be low on cash, someone will have enough for a Star or item, but not both, and then two other players might have a bunch of coins but are stuck battling for the Coin Star. On the extreme opposite end of the spectrum, Super Mario Party loads up everyone with tons of cash and items are so cheap that how many coins you have is basically irrelevant.
34:56 Mario Party 3 was my first Mario Party, so it holds a special place in my heart. Waluigi's Island is a hellaciously chaotic board, and the dual boards are probably my all-time favorite secondary mode in the entire franchise (although Mario Party 5's super duel mode is a very close second), though I must admit that coming at the expense of all other secondary modes is a bit of a slap in the face. However, I would take one excellent secondary mode over a half a dozen shitty secondary modes any day of the week. The Game Guy space is one of the most polarizing mechanics in the entire game. It's never appeared in any Mario Party except 3, but I personally enjoy it. Theoretically, you can win literally hundreds of coins in a single turn, which makes it the largest potential payout of any mechanic in any Mario Party installment. But doing so requires you win an RNG that is heavily weighted against you. You are required to play the first round of the minigame, but that usually just provides a 2:1 payout. To get the really really big payouts, you have to press your luck further and further, but playing beyond the first round is entirely optional. So I would argue that it's balanced just enough. The only real problems with Game Guy is that (A) every minigame you play when you land on his space is always 100% pure luck, no skill or strategy whatsoever, and (B) losing the luck-based mini game always makes you lose all your coins. You don't even get to choose how many coins you wager!
Honestly this is just a really clean video. Nice overview of the games, incorrectly placing Bowser Land anywhere lower than #2 aside and questionable judgement past on our lord and savior Triple B aside (seriously, the mythology built around games like Day at the Races and Bowser's big Blast justifying WHY you're picking Boo or The Green Plunger means so much more than 'pick one of these identical cards, a few of them blow you up' ), but what I love most about it is you going into the developing story that generates through each game. A board game is rarely defined by being inherently good, but by the stories and experiences you build up while playing it with friends (or with COMs), and I really do feel that's what this Mario Party started becoming really good at doing. It's refreshing seeing that as opposed to a purely mechanical breakdown of objective quality, as is so often seen. Really enjoy that, thank you. you had better compliment Fowl Play in MP3 though or else i won't forgive you for saying Torpedo Targets was playable
Mario Party 3 is probably my favorite of the Mario Party's. It had the most polish of the N64 games (As it should being the last of them...) and the polish really shows in terms of controls. It just feels smoother, less stiff, than the previous two games and its alternate boards are pretty fun with the partner mechanic.
Good stuff as always. Honestly you're the best game analysis channel out there right now. Keep up the excellent work I look forward to pretty much any video you put out
MP3 is the best in the N64 trilogy for single player. It's also my favorite. I'd love to see your take on Fortune Street on the Wii. It's a fun monopoly-like crossover with Mario & Dragon Quest characters.
Isn't it actually possible to throw away the skeleton keys? I remember that being a thing. You use them at any point and they ask if you _really_ want to get rid of them, sometimes sounding upset about it depending on the key's "gender" (whether it has the bow or not). Saying yes causes them to fade out of existence. I think... it's been a while. Edit: Also, there's one more thing about the Bowser board that makes it "difficult" due to its game-changing effect. If you land on the bank but have 0 coins to pay them with, *the bank steals your star instead.* There's no way to get it back; it's just a star removed from play from a player already down on their luck in terms of coins. I played MP2 religiously growing up and didn't know it existed until I saw it happen to one of the members of Friends Without Benefits when they used to play MP daily.
I know you could throw away skeleton keys in MP3. I don't think you could in 2, but you might be right. The key had a bow in MP2, whereas it looked more male with its lack of bow and thick eyebrows in 3.
I remember as a kid playing this with my siblings and friends and the power went out. Everything went pitch black and we all hung onto each other terrified in the dark. The last thing I remember before the lights disappeared was looking at the game inside the Nintendo 64 and Mario smiling while tipping his cowboy hat...... Ahh what beautiful nostalgic memories. (That fire jump rope though! Classic!)
This is such an excellent video series on a group of games too rarely discussed seriously, and I totally adore it! Keep it up, it's incredibly fascinating and opens a deeper discussion about such a unique digital board game series.
Mario party 3 is probably the best overall. I guess mostly people don't talk about it because that was already like, accepted awhile back and generally agreed upon so nobody needed to say anything?
I’m really liking this series so far! After you finish with the Mario Party games, have you considered continuing this series to talk about games similar to Mario Party? I know you said in the first video that you believed that most Mario Party clones fail. However, I am interested in your opinion on other Nintendo games clearly inspired by Mario Party, such as Wii Party and Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival and the Smash Tour mode from Super Smash Bros for the Wii U (Wii Party and that Animal Crossing game were even co-developed by a company that also developed some of the Mario Party games). Also, while I’ve never played them, I’ve heard that the Itadaki Street series (aka Fortune Street aka Boom Street), which originally started as a minigame in some Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest game before spinning-off into its own series, is rather different from (yet reminiscent of) Mario Party. At least one of the Fortune Street games was co-published by Nintendo and features some Mario characters. I don’t know, just an idea, feel free to ignore this :) Keep up the great work!
Don't tell anyone, but if I can somehow get through every Mario Party game before I die, I plan to continue Chance Time through similar types of party games, a lot like Mark Brown is doing with Boss Keys!
A lot of people don't talk about Mario Party 3 mostly because of it's release timing. It came out so close to the end of the N64's life that it was largely overlooked by most people. But most people who have a lot of experience with it love it. 3 is my favorite Mario Party by far. It has some of the best board design in the series, and definitely has the best board rules, letting you hold 3 items and having the best item balance and item system in the series by far. It's the most strategic Mario Party in the series.
@@spongyoshi Reverse Mushroom is definitely a cool item, but I've never found it's low price to be a major issue of being broken, because while it can definitely get you out of some jams, there's also a certain level to which it's kinda situational, which I think makes up for it. Not to mention that other mushroom effects can negate the Reverse one if you plan on using it on your opponent. Like, you can buy a Reverse Mushroom for cheap, and it can be incredibly useful, but whether or not you'll have a really solid opportunity to use it is kinda up to fate. Which is why I think it works really well. I'm surprised that no future games have brought it back.
Probably because having the chance to visit Boo three times was a bit too much. Also, it's at the same cost of the poison mushroom which makes this item pretty much useless as a result. At least it came back as a dice block in MP10 for Amiibo Party... but yeah I agree it's underwhelming.
@Spongyoshi! "Probably because having the chance to visit Boo three times was a bit too much." That's not really too much to be honest considering that even your opponents can utilize this strategy. Don't forget that there's Battle minigames which can sometimes help you get your money back. There's also the fact that using boo three times is still luck based because you could get a number that's too short to reach it especially if you're far away from it. "Also, it's at the same cost of the poison mushroom which makes this item pretty much useless as a result." The poison mushroom can actually come in handy like making it easier to land on a space you want whilst at the same time not being as broken as the sluggish shroom from 6 and 7. Plus making it easier to make the opponent land on a space to really screw up their chance of winning.
I'm pretty sure "bonus stars" refers to the endgame stars for getting most held coins at one point, most minigame coins won, and most happening spaces landed.
I'd say 3 was the best of N64 set. Certainly has a better minigame set, an entirely optional different competitive game mode, an antagonist change up whose board is a glorious example of letting the player determine how much chaos to subject themselves to... Yeah. It's pretty good.
The item shop’s available items are based on 2 things: turn number and placing. Placing is self explanatory. There are 3 tables for turn number: First 5 Turns, Last 5 Turns, and Anything In-between.
Great review of Mario Party 2! This is probably my favorite MP followed by 1 and 3! You should continue doing MP 4 and up when you can and possibly even do a video ranking them all! Keep up the great work :-)!
I’m always so elated to see new retrospectives from you! They’re fascinating! Can’t wait to see the one about the Link’s Awakening remake! Maybe a video discussing how that remake works versus how the “sequel” A Link Between Worlds worked.
Really cool series! One thing I wish you touched on was how experimental 1 and 2 are with the Control Stick. Games like Magnet Carta, Bob-omb Barrage, Dizzy Dancing, Sky Pilots, Dungeon Dash, Sneak 'n' Snore, and Slot Car Derby all do things that are a bit more usual than the "point in the direction you want to go" that's become standard. It's not something you really see after that, especially since the later games on other hardware have wilder controllers to play around with.
NO ONE talks about Mario Party 3?? It's easily the best one in the series imo. Next would be Mario Party 6, but I still hold 2 close to my heart and love it cuz it was the first Mario Party I played.
Wait, you've never heard people talking about 3. I thought you were joking at first, but that was a very serious follow up. I thought 3 was the one everyone loved.
If I could, I would mix a lot of the elements of Mario Party 2 with elements from Mario Party 3. I think Mario Party 2 has the best selection of minigames overall, but Mario Party 3 has a better item management system. In Mario Party 3 you can throw away items. At least, I think so. You can use a Skeleton key anytime, even when not in front of a gate, just to make it disappear. Also, you now can carry three items. It makes for some sweet games. My only kinda problem with Mario Party 3 is that it can be pretty random sometimes. There were rare items introduced in Mario Party 3 that you can can't get from item shops. One of them changes the turn count to either the last five turns, or the first 5 turns (I think that's right), based on a 50/50 chance. If you get this item early, and it makes it the last 5 turns, it just turns into complete luck on who won the game, and also just a really short game in general. Trust me, it happened when I played with my friend once. We both were in shock and amazement. We both laughed it off and started a new game after that. It can make for some fun and interesting games though. Also, Mario Party 3 has an unlockable board where Waluigi has taken over Luigi's own island. I remember playing it once as a kid. My friend remembers it being fun, but I can't be certain of that. I do remember though that it gave me a the first glimpse into Waluigi's character, and how he revels in making fun of Luigi. This side of Waluigi is rarely seen. Other than this board I believe the only other time he graffiti's over Luigi is in the intro to Mario's Power Tennis. This character trait of Waluigi's, that of a childish prankster, has made me come to love him as a Mario character. He's probably me favorite Mario character because of this.
I wouldn't agree that Mario Party 2's minigames are nearly flawless. They're a big step up from the first game but there's still plenty of them that I don't care for either because they have floaty, sluggish or unresponsive controls, or they can tend to drag on. Don't get me wrong, Mario Party 2 has a good selection of minigames but you're seriously giving them far more credit than they deserve. I don't care for minigames like Abandoned Ship, Skateboard Scamper, Bumper Balls, and The Crane Game.
My friends and I love minigames like Bowser's Big Blast and basically anything that adds a bit of chaos/randomness to the game (like Bowser Revolution). It makes the game less predictable. It allows even the least-skilled player to earn some coins and make a comeback. That's a good thing in my opinion.
The was a really polished in depth look at MP2. I'd like to see your take on Mario Party DS...it's the least talked about online but I think it's one of the strongest...and at least easily the one with the most diverse content (singleplayer included).
The item tables are actually pretty simple: You get a specific selection depending on the placement and whether it’s the first or last 5 turns. This is not random at all. Same is true for Mario Party 3, but every title after has other system.
This game is a massive improvement over the original. How that got a sequel is beyond me. I however will not esteem this as the peak of the series. This game is broken. There are so many hidden blocks in this game. It is rather annoying. Boo's take far too many coins and there are too many of them. The game already has the Boo bell so I find it redundant. I hate the skeleton key because it has to be used to open certain paths. It is a waste of your one item space. Speaking of which I hate that you can only carry one. Item games get tired fast. I do like most of the items, minigames and boards. I really like the costumes and I am bamboozled this is the only game that have them. Mario Party 2 is where to start. You can skip the original for your continued sanity. The series began it's legacy with the original but this is when it became fun.
I literally only ever seen the solo player win Shock, Drop or Roll once and it was because both me and my teammate got way too cocky and tried to flex by jumping off right after the timer ended, but it still counted us as having fallen off (which usually doesn't happen). Needless to say it was extremely frustrating for us and a miracle from Jesus himself for the solo player lol.
6:04 "All of the 1 v 3 mini-games are balanced well" Shock, Drop, or Roll and especially Move to the Music: "Am I a joke to you?" That being said though, I do agree this game did a good job of balancing most of the 1v3's, as difficult as that must be. It's probably the most balanced set of 1 v 3 mini-games out of any games in the series.
"Difficulty" doesn't mean anything, it's just the way for the devs to tell you not to play "higher difficulty" boards first if you're new to Mario Party (they're more complicated in movement and board events). MP3 is FUN, I'm still sad I lost our cart at a young age; I will ALWAYS remember having a blast in the snow Board (and I'm sad now again). Anyway, I want to stress the brilliance of MP2 to talk about the TRUE Mario Party experience/gameplay/formula. IT'S NOT ONLY HOW YOU MOVE IN BOARDS. People saw SPM's Boards and jumped in the bandwagon saying MP was back. It was a good step, but not good enough. First the MP experience is made up by 5 things: the Boards (interesting themes/topics, board events and layout; this is where I believe SMP failed short, it isn't enough to just move separately. Every board is a circle, but the many and varied paths and events differentiate the greatest from garbage), the Minigames (just be fun, even if you have motion controls), the extras/Miscellaneous like you mention (extra modes in the game outside the main experience to add in Replay Value and fun distractions once in a while), and finally skill and randomness/luck; both mixed in the first 3 aspects. That's how I define the Mario Party experience and the Classic MP games are the example to go. Then you choose the best/your favorites because the minigames are better or the boards are more fun. Anyway, I'm excited to relive MP3.
I haven't listened to it since I played this game back when I was 5 or 6 years old. Nearly 20 years later and I still remember it. Talk about memorable music, for a memorable game, meant to be played with memorable friends, for creating memorable moments. Then again being the first game I ever attempted to play probably goes a long way. I say attempted, because it took me a few weeks to figure out what to press and realize that the part with Toad running through the pipe wasn't the actual point of the game. That song is forever etched in my memory whether I want it to be or not along with Toads horrid screams. Nevertheless I rate this game: Memorable/10
People don't talk about Mario Party 3? Its like the best one from the N64 era! It felt even better than 2, had a whole single player mode, more minigames, maps with crazy fun gimmicks, and it added Daisy and Waluigi! It's the one I absolutely love going back to. I wish Nintendo would release an emulation of it or something already :P
It's weird. I know a lot of people that say 3 is their favourite. Personally. Although 6 and 7 are my favourites in the series, 3 is right up there. So is 2. I do have some nostalgia for 2 but I agree that 3 is the better of the two games.
With battle games, 1st gets 70% of the coins, and 2nd gets 30%. They get back the entry fee, plus a little extra. If any coins are leftover after evenly dividing, then it goes to a random person.

MP3 is long-since my favorite. MP2 had my favorite minigames, but i LOVE the weird RPG Dueling board side game, and love the music. Everything else for me (stages and minigames) is nearly as good so it sticks out as an amazing title. Maybe only beat by MP7...or honestly maybe Super Mario Party
@King K I don't want to be that guy that nitpicks a video but you technically can turn off the hidden star spaces; you just have to also turn off the bonus stars given out at the end. Besides the tiny mistake made, I'm glad this is the first video I watched on your channel, I thought you did a really good job researching and expressing your thoughts on Mario Party 2. Congratulations on a good video!
I believe the 1v1 in bowsers big blast does indeed have a pattern. It's just been so long and I forgot it. Always lasted when me and my buds got the 1v1. It's sorta relative to which pump you and your opponent pressed last time. The 3 or 4 player tho? Ya got me...
Mario party 2 is my favorite game of all time. While its not perfect by any stretch, but this game has proved so much fun and mayhem over the past 19 years. And no matter what MP we play we always come back to this one.
i grew up with 3 siblings so i always had a good time with mario party, even if the actual game mechanics were super frustrating it just made us laugh so much
Even though I’m an avid MP fan, 2 still reigns as my absolute favorite. I admit, I’m extremely biased since it’s the very first video game I’ve ever played. But even then, despite my childhood bias, it’s such a fun game to come back to, whether it’s alone or with my sister or friends.
