We got our grubby mitts on possibly the cutest crossover game ever. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle sees The Mario Universe (aka the Mushroom Kingdom) overtaken by Rayman's pals the Rabbids. Mario, along with Rabbid Peach (best) and Rabbid Luigi (omg his little hat), take on Rabbids in X-COM-style gameplay.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is set for worldwide release on 29th August 2017, on Nintendo Switch.

Outside Xtra I'm assuming this isn't actually "killing" them, it looks like when their HP is depleted they get sent back to their own world bc the effect looks like a teleportation type effect. Any confirmation of this either way?

I think it's a national thing. Us Americans love Luigi but over there they seem to really dislike him. I understand Mario is the star but Luigi is actually better, he runs faster and jumps higher than Mario. Also there's a theory that Mario lives in Luigi's shadow in the real world which is why he loves being in the Mushroom Kingdom because he gets to be the hero and the one everybody adores.

Gotta say, this felt like one of the surprise hits of E3. After hearing about the crossover, I was expecting a Raving Rabbids meets Mario Party sort of thing, this was the last thing on my mind!

'Mario's afraid to get blood on his hands' you're joking right? Ask the innocent hordes of goombas and koopas how much blood Mario has on his SHOES! On an unrelated note: Miamoto joked that AC and Donkey Kong would be the next crossover with Ubisoft. That could work, but I'm hoping for a Zelda/AC crossover. (trigger warning) AC origins is shaping up to be the next BOTW anyway.

I come from the future to warn Luke but I'm afraid it's too late. Luigi is a stone cold killer trained by the best assassination agency in the world. Luigi doesn't usually make his kills personal, but he has a soft spot for his rabbid counterpart. I'm afraid I'll already have made his list for trying to warn you, but I had to try. My advice? Run Luke, run far away and never return. God willing, maybe you'll get out of this alive

So this is my rendition of the plot. The Rabbids were up to no good, and started causing trouble in Mushroom neighborhood, then Mario got in one little fight and Luigi got scared, and he said "you're moving in with Beep-0 and Rabbid Peach in Bel Air."

Cyberpunked yes he can. It has been stated in multiple games that he runs faster and jumps higher. Hell you can even test it in games by putting them side by side and having them jump at the same time. Not to mention in all smash brothers games Luigi is always top tier and Mario is always bottom tier.
