Mario + Rabbids: Sparks Of Hope Blows My Mind... | Review 

Thanks for your review. I started gaming a few years ago as a 44 yr old woman (woman child, lol) and games have generally been difficult for me (apparently I have absolutely no natural ability, lol). I have had a lot of improvement though and I will not give up because I LOVE gaming. I am thrilled to learn that it is not too hard so I can have a chance to develop my skills and learn to play this type of game. Thanks so much for your review. I can't wait to start this today!!

This is actually one of my most anticipated games of the year. I absolutely LOVED the first game. Still blows my mind that one of the most fun X-COM style games is Mario with Rabbids of all things. Thanks for the review, Matty!

There are three difficulty settings, the highest one is what I played through on and I found it provided a pretty decent challenge. It forces you to really scout and understand who you are fighting, what they are weak to and adjust your squad/sparks accordingly. I definitely think the "normal" difficulty is slightly under-tuned though, likely better fitting the target audience. great review matty!

Difficulty in this one is the best improvement for me. I don’t really like overly difficult games, but the top difficulty really makes you think and use strategy, as bosses can easily one shot you, normal enemies can kill you in 4-5 hits. Really makes you utilise your gold, items and think of party compisition. Amazing so far.

Just bought it! Loved the first game and I want to support this fantastic dev team.

Seeing as this is on the Retro Rebound channel, and related to the game being reviewed (albeit loosely nowadays), I feel it's fair to suggest playing the Rayman games. The first three, in particular, are part of platformer history and definitely deserve a look on the channel later down the line.

Stoked for this game. Not buying day 1, as Ubisoft games seem to hit the sale prices after like 2 months, but definitely plan to play it.

i really hope this game sales well so we get a 3rd game. can you imagine have wario and waluigi in the game or even diddy and his sis or even the other kongs. this series has so much potential the be so much greater after every new release.

I am playing on the hardest setting and I'm on world 3 and have yet to lose a single match :( ... I'm not a hardcore gamer, but after playing the first game you will find this way easier. It's still fun but the longevity would be so much better if it was twice as hard, these types of games should force you to do the side missions small things to level up to have enough XP/sparks etc to beat the main missions.

I hadn’t played games in a good while, had basically given them up. Due to an autoimmune disease I’m having to spend a lot more time staying stationary when possible. So I’ve been playing my son’s switch. Played Mario Odyssey, Kirby Forgotten Land, then my first Pokémon game in Pokémon Violet and now this. The Switch has some great games. Especially with Pokémon Violet and this one, Sparks of Hope. For me anyway, I think this game is awesome. It’s Mario, it has a story, has a party, fun characters, has worlds to explore, is a tactical RPG with all these RPG elements and customization and yet still feels like an action game too. It’s such a hodgepodge of so many things and pulls it off wonderfully. Was completely and pleasantly surprised by this game. I’d definitely enjoy more titles in this series, I hope they keep it going. Fills the void of Mario RPG games that kind of disappeared.

If you love movement and customization in RPGs I highly recommend Disgaea! Particularly 5

I’m like a level into the first one and even though it’s catered for children I still feel like I suck at the gameplay. It’s fun as hell tho

I hope that they add one more difficulty level. To be honest, the way to do it yourself is to underlevel and that's always an option

… I can’t believe I’m saying this but… pls give Ubisoft the Mario and Luigi rpg franchise to work on… seeing both running around in those feels, Luigi stumbling behind Mario… man I really miss those games

The Mario + Rabbids series is fully underrated, i understand that people don't lime because its different from other Mario games or because they don't like the Rabbids but this game is just so awesom and it would be cool to get a 3rd one even if it sounds crazy

I feel like I'm the only one that's put off by all the changes. Random battles, open worlds, free movement during battle. Not what I loved about the first game.

Waited for this game and it was so worth it. Bought day 1 and loved it and currently 100%ing it. Definitely my top 10 switch games. Soundtrack slaps and graphics are good. Some technical glitches but overall amazing. Combat is so satisfying too. Love this game

Rabbid Mario is not the most broken character in the game. Rabbid Rosalina EASILY takes that title. With just a couple specific sparks, she can beat entire battle single-handedly, while taking little to no damage.

Best game ive played all year!

For me it feels a lot easier than the first game, even in the toughest mode.

I thought the first was just ok. Ubisoft did a good job with it and I like tactical RPGs, so I liked it. But I wasn't wowed or amazed. This game does look better and more fleshed out.

I found this game incredibly easy, total step down from the first.

This game is not NEARLY old enough to be deemed " retro", if you aren't going to play and review the hundreds of actual retro games that came out 20 years ago, then just take this channel down, it's getting embarrassing

So these are called a TURN BASED GAME... I just played the 1st game of this series, Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle...and in less than 1 hour it was the WORST MARIO GAME EVER CREATED!!! So if this game has the same turn based style play, this will be JUST AS BAD!!! My rating is 2/10! 😔 😠
