But guys, this may be the darkest Mario game of all time. Think about it for a second: Mario, Peach and Yoshi are floating on a raft in the middle of the ocean, no familiar territory in sight. They must have been floating for days as Yoshi is starving, Peach hasn't been able to shave and Mario...well, Mario looks the same, but we'll get to that in a second. They're trapped in a land ruled by a disembodied, monotonous voice who forces them to complete numerous, seemingly childish puzzles for all eternity; all the while she neither truly praises their success, or criticizes their failures, with any real emotion, almost as if it's a pointless endeavor. Now the darkest part...What of Luigi? He's not present on the raft yet is clearly visible on every island for no other reason than to be awoken from his slumber. He never joins them, he never helps, he just...sits there...watching. Could it be that, while stranded at sea, Mario killed Luigi and ate him for sustenance? Could it be that his friends didn't help and that their collective punishment is to be banished to this nightmarish realm, forever haunted by the image of their guilt? ...HAHAHA! Nah! This game is just stupid.

Peach looks absolutely TERRIFIED in that classroom and I swear something happens to her face after they finish counting the chalk at 14:56. They look like tears, ether that or her face is turning blue.

In the counting room, I was terrified that when Arin clicked on the sign to leave it would just say, "ONE sign. ZERO escape." And they would never leave.

Definitely one of my favorite Game Grumps episodes. From Dan and Arin imitating the voice to trying to add lore to the activities and everywhere in between, it’s just great. No matter how much the game sucks, leave it to these guys to make it fun to watch lol

I call on a vote. Who votes that the Game Grumps should play titles from the Living Books collection? They were some of the most nostalgic CD Rom's I had when I was but a child and it would be awesome seeing their reactions to some of the weird stuff that happens when you click on stuff.

I not only had this game growing up, but I also had it's companion game, which was sort of the same thing but with just letters and numbers games. My mom still makes reference to the "that works for me" line, and then immediately asks what it is she is referencing because she just remembers hearing it constantly when my brother and I were tiny and not where specifically she heard it.

This is probably my favorite episode. Love the jokes about the robotic voice!

Finally, a game for Arin's skill level... and he still fucks it up half the time.
