MARIO'S UNUSUAL BOSS FIGHT: A Mario Fan Game Where You Fight WEIRD Bosses 

Hi! I'm the guy who made this fangame. Really happy to see mine be chosen for the first "Fan Game Friday". Also really happy to see the score you gave it. In case you want to know the bosses that you didn't recognise, here is the list of all of them in order, including the location and source material they are from: Level 1 (Cobalt Plateaus): Angry Birds Level 2 (Donkey Kong Country Caves): Bonzi Buddy Level 3 (Gru's Lab from Despicable Me): Vector Perkins Level 4 (Ice Age): Big Eagle from the Ice Age game on the GBA Level 5 (Bridge Zone): Dr. Eggman/Robotnik Level 6 (A custom level of another fangame Super Mario Bros. X called "Mario Dies"): a Super Mario World Sign Level 7 (Trolberg from the Hilda Netfix series): A forest giant seen in two episodes of Season 1 Level 8 (Cog HQ from ToonTown): The Vice President Level 9: Air Man I apologise for the bugs you'd encountered, I plan to fix all of those in a future update which will also tweak and fix some graphics and level design issues. The boss of the Minion stage was Vector. The "villain" of Despicable Me 1.

The "Donkey Kong" boss was Bonsai Buddy. Good on you for ridding the world of that menace!

"Boss 8" appears to be a reference to the defunct Disney Toontown Online MMO where a bunch of business-oriented "Cogs" were taking over Toontown and turning Toontown buildings into gray office buildings. The cogs could be defeated by using Toon "gags" such as throwing pies.

Watching Dave makes me feel better about my Mario skills.

The Despicable Me and Minions movies are a decent source of silly fun, a handful of heartwarming moments, and just enough lore to keep you engaged.

I think Fan Gane Fridays is a great idea. I love how the first boss just exploded. The minions boss is the antagonist from the first movie. His name is vector and he's an absolute dork.

That boss from the Donkey Kong level was Bonzai Buddy, an infamous computer assistant/adware/child data farm from the early days of Windows!

I still wish to this day Nintendo and Sega would do something were the two main characters team up and fight iconic enemies in a platformer game.

I am almost positive that boss 7 is from Hilda. I could be wrong, but it looks like one of the giants from the show. Not to mention the enemies look like the trolls from the show, and there are bells, the only thing to drive trolls mad.

I really like the idea of Fan Game Fridays! It is always great to see what people can accomplish within the confines of Mario Maker. 2, but seeing what people can do with unlimited resources, like they have in Mario hacks is great! Hope you continue to play and bring content, Dave!

It looks like it isn't that the game has generous hitboxes, but rather that it has the same bug as some early Mario games had: if Mario is moving down, it always behaves as if he landed on the enemy's head, even if it actually came in from the side and catches the bottom of the enemy sprite while moving downward.

Watching this video further, technically, both names for Eggman is correct. In Japan, Sonic's long time foe was always known as Eggman. But in the west, they had to change his name to Dr. Ivo Robotnik, in fear of a lawsuit of someone who already used the name Eggman. It wasn't till Sonic Adventure 1, where his name was Eggman again. Though, for continuity sake, in the International version of Sonic Adventure 1, from an in-world point of view. he had his name changed because Sonic and his friends gave him the nickname "Eggman", to mock him. After that game, his canon name became Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik. Eggman being the nickname that Robotnik accepts as his name, instead of talking back at Sonic and friends to correct them, like he did in Adventure 1.

Good on you Dave, for not being like those "Classic Sonic Purist", who treats the 3D Sonic games, or Modern Sonic games in general, like an sin upon humanity. You have the kindness and decency to love those Sonic games the Classic Sonic Purists of the Sonic fanbase, hates with a burning passion. Just because it ain't 16-bit Sonic games, doesn't have to mean it's bad. I am the same way Dave. I LOVE most of the Sonic games the majority of the Sonic fanbase hates allot. Stuff like the Sonic Adventure games (The Chao Garden A-LIFE feature is my favorite part of the Sonic Adventure games, Chao are so adorable! How can anyone hate those little guys...?), the Sonic Storybook series of Sonic games (to the point the entire true ending of Secret Rings is burned into my memory forever, word for word), and even the Dreamcast Sonic party game, Sonic Shuffle, to name a few. Now, these wrongfully hated Sonic games, I'm not saying they're flawless masterpieces, they aren't. They all have their own flaws, but they're enjoyable if somebody actually gives them a chance, without forcing a comparison to the 16-bit Sonic games. I feel the Classic Sonic Purists despises any Sonic game that is not their 16-bit style Sonic games, due to them being blinded by nostalgia, and have their heads in the past. Now, any Sonic fans who want to roast me in the comments over my opinions of the franchise, go ahead, have your sadistic fun I guess. But I have to say this: 16-Bit Sonic games are not as special as the fanbase thinks they are. Especially Sonic 2 (Genesis/Megadrive), as it's Special Zone stages were poorly designed, especially if you're playing the game with Tails following you, as he carries his own Ring count there. Those Special Zone stages after the first one, give you little time to react to hazards that will cause you to lose Rings needed to clear it. And if you have Tails following you there, you are given even LESS time to react to the hazards hitting and making you and/or Tails lose Rings needed to get the Chaos Emeralds. Unless you either have extremely good reaction time, or memorized the halfpipe Special Zone stages down to the finest detail, you're gonna mess up, there's no argument you won't lose Rings on those Special Zone stages, stage 2 and onwards, on your first time (and for me, every time I play them, because I am a fool) challenging each one. Sorry this rant is in your comments section Dave, I just needed to get this off my chest. One last thing: There's no such thing as a truly perfect game, there's always flaws in every game in any franchise. Because humanity is flawed themselves, they cannot make flawless perfect games.

The stage with the Blue guys in suits is ToonTown. They're known as Cogs and they're one of the main antagonists in ToonTown. The boss was known as the V.I.P. He's one of the four bosses you can fight in ToonTown. ToonTown wad an old MMO that Disney made. It's been shut down for a long time now; but it's been remade by the fans as "ToonTown Rewritten".

As a wise man once said! Old people love the minions! So yes, they are worth your time to watch!

The "double indemnity " is a reference to double protection. The guy has insurance from the text and himself which is why Mario died from touching the text. Lol

The minions level was taken directly from minion rush you can look it up Dave it's the first boss fight of the game, it's a mobile run game

I dont think the hitboxes are generous or not, it is just: if collision, if mario is moving downwards, mario gets the kill, if mario moving upwards, mario fails
