I like how you put the characters on the teams they would be on in story mode. That’s just attention to detail and I respect it.

The character models here are likely reused in the Wii Mario and Sonic games but with edited armature (most characters) and a diverse selection of facial expressions (Donkey Kong, Yoshi)

Feels weird to me seeing peach backflipping to hit her opponents and Daisy spinning haha I love some characters' unique animations, like Blooper. Idk if you'll ever see this, but could you do some characters unique ball stealing mechanics? What I mean is: Magikoopa using his magic to catch the ball, Hammer Bro throwing his hammer, Yoshi using his tonque, Birdo sucking the ball...

I was hoping this was on RU-vid. Some characters have abilities that only activate during close plays. Shell Dash, Burrow, Enlarge, Anger Dive, Ink Dive, Scatter Dive and Teleport are all close play abilities. In fact, I’ve used Ink Dive in an exhibition match before

Those abilities you mentioned pretty much gives those the upper hand of close plays, giving them room for error and opposing player can't hit the button first until the runner messes up first.
