So, the default teams: Mario has the most balanced lineup, with himself and weegee being capable all-around players. Pianta is probably the least useful power hitter, though, and I always struggled getting hits with the Nokis. The Peach Monarchs are the best defensive team by far; Peach is a great pitcher and the toads' speed makes them capable fielders. Toadsworth even has a special ability that makes it impossible for him to drop hits sent his way (except Mario and Luigi's star swings) Yoshi has a LOT of speed in his lineup, with baby Luigi somehow being the best base-stealer in the game. The team does surprisingly well playing small ball (trying to rack up singles to slowly bring runs in), and Yoshi and Birdo have abilities that let them pull in nearby hits to catch them Wario's team has several solid power hitters (Petey and King Boo are home-run machines if used properly), and Waluigi is an amazing pitcher. The magikoopas have a special that lets them pull in nearby hits, which is good because the team's garbage speed makes fielding a chore. DK's team is the one I always found to be the most meh. Diddy is the best outfielder in the game imo, the koopas are good at generating singles, and DK is really dangerous if he can get the right pitch. Dixie and the goombas are awful at the plate, though, and the team has solid players but there's nobody in the lineup that's totally irreplaceable.

This game and Super Sluggers were fantastic. They're fun multiplayer games with a fair bit of strategy, and they've got really fun single player story modes as well. Honestly the only baseball video games I can sit through. Can't wait to see you guys play some more of this, maybe even get an exhibition match going between you two.

I love this game to bits. You do really need to read the manual and the tutorial stuff but it's pretty great. Also until you start getting into the "Star" difficulty I think you can pretty safely just charge for every single swing and the AI isn't godly enough to do anything about it. But dear god does it get mean later on.

Is it bad that I've had the best characters memorized for over ten years? Other than the team captains, you want to use Toad, Toadette, Shy Guy, and Dry Bones as your big hitters. Magikoopa is a great fielder because he can catch the ball from a distance. Waluigi and Toadsworth are by far the best pitchers. Wario, DK, Pianta, and Bowser are only good for hitting homers reliably.

A baseball game with an optional batting guide, but hey it was a good game. I wanted so bad to tell them how to play, but it's a good video.

I loved this game as a kid! Hey alpha, there is a way to make batting a bit easyer(since it is pretty hard in the begining), in game options just before the game start(or pause menu) you can show a indicator where your bat actually hits. It helps a lot in the begining. Also, you run faster spaming the b button, you would actually goten 2 bases if you knew that.

So Alpha, as a tip, turn on batting guide. You won't regret it, it basically shows the bat's hitbox. Also mashing B makes you run slightly faster. Either way I have to clean up the milk I spit out from laughing at Toad now. Fantastic video. 6 years later, I still love this one, I'll miss FWOB but it was great while it lasted, maybe one day my backseating will be cured

i really loved this game... lol but i found a exploit from how much i played it you can steal against the cpu's over and over again with little risk no matter where the ball currently is thats because you can keep teasing them by just going back and forth in the middle and eventually they will throw it to the other base and that will give you enough time to get to the base you stole
