The guy was suffering with loss of his leg and poverty but beating against all odds he won a gold.. words will never describe his glory and determination .. salute you Mr Thangavelu proud to be an Indian. congrats champ :)
Our hardwork never goes unnoticed. Really proud of you Thangavelu. This video deserves the most no. of views, likes and shares ever. Let this video go viral on youtube.
He too deserves a BMW and accolades others have received. I just can't imagine what this young fellow must have gone through in his life, but still trained himself against all odds and beat all that athletes from countries which provide top level training and facilities to their sportsperson, If only there was a place where we Indians can give some help to these sons of India which can reach them Directly.
When I feel low esteem and depression I look this video it gives me motivation strength to soal, What a confidense and determination with this person..
I don't know why but as I saw him running on one leg and made his successful jump, I had tears in my eyes! That spirit in spite of the physical shortcomings man! Kudos!!
He deserves better recognition and price money than pv sindu but i do not think people in india are going to praise the achievement made by these two indians on par with pv sindhu. Example,no one recognised and appreciated indian blind people's cricket team which won world cup 2 years back.
Samuel Clinton Indian cricket team of blind people won world cup 2 years back.Who recognised it bitch? do you even know it? You people have made sports a kind of personality cult where good looking and successful people are glorified but people of disabled communities are ignored in sports. I am not attacking sindu you sick bastard,i am only attacking those who do discrimination in recognising and praising the talents.
came to know from zee news that his mother works as a vegetable vendor and had worked real hard since his childhood just to have a square meal !!! a salute to the mother & his son !!!
It was great to see so many Brazilians cheering for him. The lack of apathy shown by mainstream media in India that a great achievement like this wasn't televised or widely reported is absolute shameful and just shows indifference towards these differently-abled Athletes.
Its "the mental strength" & not "a physical" to become the world champion....and you showed it, how it is to be done.. Mariyappan you beauty....we are proud of you & all the sports man gathered in Rio for the mega event....
Is it only for me tears rolling on my cheeks, silver medalist seems normal and able to stand well atleast mariyappan seems more disabled(sorry to use the word) I could guess the pain he gone through:) You made us proud by playing national anthem at RIO dude
I watched it more than 20 + times but still love to see it....Thanks Thangavelu ....We are proud of you. You achieved which 1.32 billion people couldn't.
