The interesting fact is that Marjorie died just 6 weeks after her husband...Thats very soon...after... I wonder if her heart was broken...so sad.. This song is a wonderful tribute to her Grandma...Looking at the pictures.. Taylor sure does have the lower face features of Marjorie...very easy to see...Thanks for this

Listening to the song Marjorie is getting me always emotional because it's like the only song that can manifest that Taylor and her Grandma sang with each other (especially at the very end you'll clearly hear the opera performance of Marjorie as the backing vocals)

I grew up in the same town as Lindenwood University and even considered going there (but didn’t). I can confirm they have an amazing music program-my dad and I went to one of their choir concerts years ago and he still talks about how much he enjoyed it. I love the thought of Marjorie Finlay living in my hometown, though I was surprised when I first found out! This is such a sweet song and it’s so beautiful that Taylor used Marjorie’s vocals in it.
i tried to look up the show but sadly it is now considered lost media, and i cant find any record of the LP Finlay released in Mexico, not even a name for it. I hope one day Taylor will release the audio of the ac song she used for the background but i doubt it maybe its just too personal for her? it was nice to see some history about the woman anyways lol

Video should be updated. At her Eras tour in Singapore Taylor revealed more about her grandmother’s time in Singapore as an opera singer. Local media ran pictures of her home and outings with her daughter, Taylor Swift’s mother who attended school here for 2 years.

No she has another daughter (Taylor's aunt) called Alison (which is also Taylor's middle name). I'm not sure if she has any cousins on her mom's side, but interestingly, Taylor has a second cousin on her dad's side also coincidentally named Taylor Swift!
