I'll never forget back in 75 we were doing concrete work and building a rest area off the highway in Swartz Creek just outside of Flint Michigan and we used to go to this little bar for lunch that had great burgers and cold beer when this little old lady serving us asked us have you boys ever hear about Grand funk railroad and she yelled out thats my grandson
A true legend and inspiration. A new album and at 432hertz plus some acoustic cuts 🤯😃!!! Can’t wait, American Rock and Rock in Roll in general are in good hands. Mr Farner you are one of my all time favorites, thank you and God bless.
Mr farner, what a great American! Everyone, IMO, in the music industry should have this mans attitude. I’m certain he’s not some kind of sycophant like so many others in the industry. One of my favorite bands ever and I think he’s fantastic. Great interview!
I so agree! Mark is just a fabulous human as well as a wonderful musician. Thank you reaching out and sharing your kind words. So glad you enjoyed the interview!!!😊
The worse and more depressing things get the more i love interviews from Farner, Clapton, or Jagger. They're still around optimistic in the present, making good music, and making great sense when they speak.
Great interview! Farner is one of my favorite rockers. Can't wait to hear the new record. I'm your Captain was my son's favorite song and I also lost him last year. He was 37 years old. Keep rockin Mark! We love you. ❤ RIP to all our kids
Thank you so much for watching and sharing the kind words and a bit of your story. My most heartfelt condolences to you and your family. With “I’m Your Captain” by his side, I think you can rest assured that your son is resting peacefully in his Heavenly home.🙏❤️
Thanks so much! Good to know that you enjoyed the questions.👍 Mark was indeed a voice of the generation. He and the band provided so much of the soundtrack for that time. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
I've been jamming to grandfather since I was 12 I'm 63 now and still love them just as much .I'm still in love with Mark he's so hot to this day and so so talented.( blessed)
Mixed monitors for him, Edgar Winter and I forget who else was there. Maybe Uriah Heap. Great show and Mark makes you feel like you have known him forever. Great guy.
What the drummer and bass man did to Mark is unforgivable. They are out there pretending to be GFR playing 90% of the songs Mark wrote is shameful. God bless you Mark for the music and memories we baby boomers enjoyed in the late 60's and 70's.
This cat and Felix Cavaliere of the Rascals, another blue-eyed soulman like Mark IMO, almost stole the show from stars including Billy Preston on a Canadian all-star rock tour, circa 2002? His guitar parts were as impressive as his vocals- nearest thing, to my ear and eye - Rick Derringer from Ohio - but they must have revered Mitch Ryder & Detroit Wheels same as did Springsteen, Iggy,, everyone in the region
Did someone say Felix Cavaliere?! Another wonderful guy. Here's a link to my conversation with Felix, if you're interested. :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-35DXP_ZQyuk.htmlsi=z30pC1-khUKJWw9O
