Graham Norton is one of the only television hosts that doesn’t interrupt their guests just to make a quipy joke. He’s actually respectful and let’s them make the laughs
Conan and Graham Norton DO listen and do you know why? Because they are fans just like us and actually want to hear what their guests have to say and are not full of their own BS. They also take the time to actually research their guests and ask great questions and point out significant relatable facts.
I love Graham and he’s a fantastic interviewer but he has certainly interrupted people to make quips - and usually making a great moment even better! But he is definitely very respectful.

crimson gate32 I highly encourage you to check out the website Behind The Voice Actors. If you look up Mark Hamill on there, you'd notice he has done plenty of characters outside of Star Wars, most notably The Joker and Fire Lord Ozai.

I would submit it has much to do with their respective careers. Ford followed up Star Wars as a bankable Hollywood A-list star for 30+ years. In his view: Star Wars is very likely seen as just another few films he did. But it carries the baggage of the nerdiest, geekiest, most technical, most demanding fanbase in existence. Hammil's career went a different path. I imagine he had the same loathing for Star Wars (in the 90's, especially). But, as big budget Hollywood goes, these are among the only films Hammil has done. If the conversation is all about Star Wars, I'd much rather talk with Hammil. If it's just a day of fishing, BBQ, and relaxing; I suspect either guy would be a blast to hang out with.

Hamill's "Telephone, telegraph, tell-a-Carrie" is almost verbatim from a 1956-1960 TV pre-Love Boat cruise ship series (The Gale Storm Show) where the Cruise Director Susanna Pomeroy said, "The three fastest means of communication: telephone, telegraph, and tell-a-woman." Hamill is absolutely hilarious in this interview, and his Harrison Ford impressions are spot on.
He is such an amazing person. I love how he tells stories, how he spoke about Carrie, his reaction to Vader being Luke’s father, etc. Love it. One of my favorites. Thanks for uploading.
That moment in cinema history, which was the most shocking thing most of my generation had ever seen in film (and still hasn't been topped IMHO), was something no one will ever forget. It was made all the more powerful by the incredible performance Mark Hamill gave in that moment. He had the courage and intensity to GO THERE, into the soul rending anguish of Luke, which I don't think the character really recovered from. Spectacular. And keep it a dead secret for a year and a half???? OMG
@@XanderVJ He's like one of the most popular characters in the world. They don't usually become memes. Notice Superman, Batman, and Vader also almost has no memes.
I was waiting for his appearance on the Graham Norton show to come out because he has a knack for getting people to open up about stuff, but Mark Hamill is just too experienced. With a franchise like Star Wars, they will crucify you for letting out a spoiler on a talk show. Mark is the man at sticking to one story and it's pretty admirable.
heard it when he was on stephen colbert's the late show as well, almost exact same way. I think it's because of his voice acting background where he reads and say a line over and over during recordings.
Yeah, he explained the Harrison Ford thing almost exactly the same on Kimmel's show. It's a great story, though. He's a really good actor. It's just kind of funny how similarly he explains it.
Given the weight of the twist, he probably recorded that line during one of the last few v.o. sessions, maybe a few months to several weeks before the premiere.
I love that after all these years he still delights and is happy to walk down memory lane and regale story'ss about those days with his fans, he such a nice guy and the best joker voice artist
Mark is one of the funniest actors out there he always has me cracking up!! I love seeing him and Carrie Fisher together both of them are brilliant! and Harrison too in his own reserved way!
ZukoHalliwell Just look up Sebastian Stan on Google Images and you will find many side-by-sides of him and a young Mark Hamill. They look insanely alike! Someone even photo-shopped Seb's face onto Mark Hamill's body once, and you can't even tell the difference!
To be brutally honest, I didn't think Mark Hamill really had the acting chops to express the spiritual side of the force, but he has become a great ambassador for the series
So glad I saw TLJ on opening day, made it easier for avoiding spoilers... I mean who new that Snoke was actually five porgs under a gold cloak... never guessed.
His voice was subbed in, so it's very possible the original actor in the suit read the line they thought it was and in the screening it would've still have been a shock to the rest of the cast.
@@farhanshaqib8746 He knew. In fact, he was convinced it was a lie and wondered how they would use the lie moving forward. He explains it in the documentary Empire of Dreams.
You can tell Graham Norton knows the show is about the guest and their stories. He never interrupted, plus he never gave his own story about tele-Carrie. Apparently, Carrie Fisher told Graham Norton the whole plot of Episode 7 a year before it came, and he had to keep it to himself. Any American Talk Show Host would have told that story to try and match his guest, but Graham Norton kept it going. One of the best out there today.
I love Mark Hamill's impressions, it really does help to emphasise the story better with voices. FLASHBACK: My English teacher was right, different voices do help (and there was little old me worried about being laughed at, where I could have been as funny as Mark).

Like other iconic actors such as Keanu Reeves or Anthony Hopkins, such lovely people on and off the big screen :)
