Mark Hamill has been telling the same story about George Lucas' original script for STAR WARS for the past forty years... and it's a good one. Enjoy this brief recap of the most iconic STAR WARS line never said in a STAR WARS movie.

Oh my, those poor other actors were _struggling_ with that line! I didn’t realize the extent to which Mark pulled it off in that screen test before.

It’s like the line was just coming out of them, right off the top of their heads… didn’t sound like they were even acting… didn’t even sound like they took the time to rehearse it over and over…

@@user-fn6bm4yf7v I agree with all of that. Just pointing out irony of Mark Hamill saying (something to the effect of) “I hated that line. Logically, I can make sense of it, but how in the world are you supposed to say something like that, and make it sound like it came right off the top of your head?” Meanwhile, the actors did exactly that

@@user-fn6bm4yf7v Mark did get it, but it appears to have been completely unintentional, and he didn’t seem to realize that he “got it” lol. Which, I think, speaks volumes about George Lucas’ “eye” for casting.

The line is pretty rough, but Hamill delivers it like a pro. You even look at those screen tests, his is the only one that sounds even close to believable.

I feel like that line describes the entirety of Andor, and that type of dialogue even shows itself multiple times via the monologues from the characters, so in some poetic way that fantastic George Lucas dialogue makes a welcomed return after such a long time of people just not getting it.

If he actually is reading it word for word from what it said in the script and not mis-wording it, then it’s just poor English to begin with. It should be “I doubt in the security being any greater than it was on Aquilae or Sullust, but what there is, is most likely targeted towards a large-scale assault.”
