This is literally the green light I was looking for before I watched it. Thought I'd never get that green light because unfortunately James Corden is quite celebrated.
Hmmm, might have to take a trip down to my local cinema and catch this one. It got a good review in my local newspaper today aswell, .. Swindon Advertiser. 8/10
It's on BBC One right now, perhaps you need to see it from the beginning, but I joined in when I saw James Corden and it seems to be the very worst of Rent and Reality Bites repackaged for Millenials... with added James Corden and the merest hint of the most delicate First World Problems. Not for me, thanks.
Great film, terrible ending. The relationship between Knightley and Ruffalo has so much great chemistry, but the film chickens out and decides to go for the do-gooder ending, except its in no way satisfying because Keener has less screen time than the Subway signs.
I actually thought the opposite, that the film held its nerve and didn't go for the entirely cliché romantic ending. I also thought the purely facial interaction between Levine and Knightley at the concert was very brave for a Hollywood movie, and the meaning of which I imagine was very lost on some of the audience watching.
