Oh little burning star, now you can go to heaven and shine with other legends like you, eternally, your art, forever. 🌟🖤 RIP MARK LANEGAN (1964-2022) 🕯
I was randomly listening to his Field Songs album while picking up my wife at the airport yesterday at around 04:45 am and while at work later in the day I read about his passing and it still hurts thinking about it. Grew up listening to the Trees in the 90's and now the voice that was as fine as a glass of whiskey, rough as puffing a cigarette and a stare that even the devil himself would understand and behave over is gone. May he raise hell with those waiting for him in the great beyond. R.I.P.
Gutted to have lost this genius! His music was sublime and masterful, as was his raspy, epic voice. 'Old Swan' is incredible, and even more poignant considering the lyrics (highly recommended song). I hope he finds his cosmic buddies on the other side - Cobain, Cornell, Staley and Bourdain. :)
Mark, you are loved and missed. What a wonderful soul. Tortured, prophetic, psychotic, yet sane. Your earthly efforts are truly held in high acclaim. Fly free now. No more pain for you!

I have seen many videos of Mark Lanegan's music and this is one of the best that I keep coming back to... just magic. Thank you. Every artist has amazing nights like this, and also ones that are not so good. Life - that's the way it goes, it seems - to appreciate the good - you've got to know the bad! Love this man's music... xxG
Mark Lanegan's memory will continue to live on in all the wonderful music he created. When I learned of his death 2 weeks after it happened, it really brought me down hard. I really thought I'd be blessed enough to see him perform at least once. Got a job to pay for my eventual trip cross country and everything. Just devastating
Of all of Mark's songs that hit on his long suffering habit (and that's just about all of them) Harborview H is THE ONE.. so crushing.. so brutal.. so real. RIP Dark Mark👊🏽
Nice! I saw him with this line up in the Netherlands when they 'toured' the Blues Funeral album. Apart from the great performance, I remember me saying to my buddy: "He's not dead, you see that? He's alive, the Man In Black is alive!
This was way before he started rocking that old, tired grandma look he’s been sporting these days. 🤘 Him and Mike Patton are still the best singers still kicking around today.
