He rarely mentioned it, but Marc "Boy Lard" Riley used to be in iconic Manc band, The Fall.
Here, Lard reads extracts from his youthful diaries, written during those crazy days with Mark E. Smith....

There's no point telling people that you used to be in the Fall. As is well known, everyone has been in the Fall. I was the bass player for ten minutes in 2003.

Only heard of 'the fall' through Mark and Lard. Says it all on who won in the end. Afternoons on Radio 1 and a Sony Gold.
