If anyone got Rugrats vibes, you're right. Mark Mothersbaugh was actually the composer for the show. This album was actually going to be used as the soundtrack for the show until he decided to just make new songs for it based on the sounds he used here.
The creator of Rugrats specifically approached Mark when he heard this. If memory serves, he wanted to use this exact music but Mark insisted on writing new material in the same style.

Was this and Rugrats composed on a Fairlight IIX? Definitely sounds like it but also was always under the impression it was a CMI III. But these sound a little too primitive to be coming from a III
Yoshi_Dino_Kiddo Probably because it's the same composer. And in fact, one of the creators of Rugrats, Gabor Csupo, asked Mark Mothersbaugh to use the music from these albums for the show, to which Mark Mothersbaugh suggested he compose new tracks instead.
I find it impossible to believe you stumbled across something as hidden and niche as this without knowing this is the same composer who did Rugrats. The obscurity of this, coupled with your comment, tells me you knew all along…
