An excellent condition copy of the picture 'Straight out of Newcastle' will cost you 15GBP on discogs - theres also black vinyl repressing as well for less. A copy of 'Newcastle Hardcore Volume One' last sold on discogs for 200GBP. And that was the last copy to be sold on there since 2007. Thats how infrequently copies turn up.
One of the major frustrations of playing *anything* electronic live is that the "sound tech" is usually some half-deaf guitar head who doesn't realise that "loud" for electronics (synth, drum machines, samplers, etc) means "just stopping below red", not "one or two green blocks on its channel input graph". So making it sound "aggressive enough" live in a proper venue is a struggle, so it tends to be underground DIY shows or as part of arts festivals like TINA Festival with the Crack Theatre events in the Grey Room.
'you heard of myspace? Technology marches on and you either get with it or get fucked' too true, especially now that Myspace is barely remembered :) but in 2008.... I used to have a way to download the ORIGINAL high quality uploads bands and producers would put up there. 'Legit' dubplate hacking. It was bloody marvelous. It led to artists resorting to posting 'clips' instead and uploading lower quality original files and then eventually Myspace changed their streaming to encrypted FLV. Still to this day, some of those amazing tunes have never been released so I feel lucky I grabbed what I could. I wish I had got more xD
I remember listening to Nasenbluten on the Newcastle Universuty radio station ...mmm late night friday nights... would of been 1990 If my memory serves me correct... This was a great time in Newcastle ...the Hunter on Hunter hotel was the place to hang out out....
The Bloody Fist website in the end of 90s, early 2000 was the funniest thing ever, especially compared to the dull crap that the Dutch were posting online. It was up there with Dr Macabre's website as best entertainment in the hardcore/gabber scene.
I've got some Bloody Fist stuff back in Oz. Back when you'd mailorder tapes direct from a record label. Probably collector's items now - by the three other blokes on the planet that listen to industrial noisecore on cassette :D

@rancidsexbeast im from newy aus. i was there for all of this. saw mark play countless times for nothin. mental times. there was a great scene in newy. heaps of unemployed surfer bum punks like myself. we loved beer, tits, hard music and drugs. i eventually moved into the psy doof scene, but i love this stuff still.
