Saw Mark Normand at the Punchline in San Francisco last night, January 2, 2020 and he killed there he’s hilarious he had joke after joke after joke and when he was done he shook every audience members hand that got in line to see him and took selfies and he is just fucking awesome. If he was selling T-shirts I would’ve bought one.
Ok so Mark is insanely surprisingly wise. That comedy advice for works for so many aspects of life. I knew he was a one line wonder but man he put together a string of beautiful ideas
be yourself & push on through! It's nice to know, no matter how many times from all these different successful people, that the long, hard roundabout indirect route to success can be fruitful. Inspiration!
This is a great interview. I just happened upon your channel looking for ..apparently my new favorite comic. I like getting to know more about a person who puts on a persona on stage. The realness comes through in this interview. Great job.

What are the odds... So, I'm doing my first 15 min. set tonight for some local comedy show. I always thought I should just jump into my bit because I'm use to doin open mics or guest spots (only getting 5-8min)... but Mark talking at 15:50 really made me reevaluate how I'm going to approach tonight's show! I like the "ocd" ways of exercising throughout the day. I've been doing that similarly as well. Mark Normand. Good honest vibe in these podcasts for sure. And I'm digging the Hot Breath!
I think the problem with texting a joke to someone you worked with, is they don't see your mannerisms. Louis CK was pretty self deprecating before getting dog piled on, so chances are he didn't want to risk replying and then finding out it was meant to be piling on and not a joke to an old friend.
New to mark normand’s material like a month or so. hearing about the effort it took to get his material to even pop up on my algorithm makes me happy that I found his stuff.
