i really like that brendon burns has been able to promote himself over the last week. I now know to immediately avoid any projects he might be attached to. How can someone be this unfunny

Holy shit, BB is mortifyingly inept and unfunny/meandering/narcissistic, but (hot take), I found this entire video very watchable bc Jim, Mark & Sam do an incredible job of taking the piss and making something out of nothing. Mark = MVP
This is a great example of Vibe or Energy not going well, instantly you can see the vibe is off when he cuts people off or interacts. Dude even speaks about other examples of coming across really badly… I mean wtf did you expect bro…?!
Normally Brendon is a decent comic but my God he died a death here. Just listen to those uncomfortable silences from Jim, Sam and Mark after he gets to a punchline and they're like "Oh that's it? Story over?"
Despite this appearance from Brendon Burns being so cringe inducing it sends shivers down my spine, Sam is so hateable in this clip too. He constantly gives little snide remarks like he did on the old OnA shows. I can see why so many members of the staff expressed their dislike for him. He clearly learned from Opie that radio can only work with conflict and so his "humour" consists of being mean and making shitty remarks. Apologies for the overly long comment to nobody in particular

Brendon Burns is actually quite funny, but he bombed FUCKING HARD on this show. He will never be able to come back from this with fans of O&A and the following shows. Dear god, this was bad.
Yeah... it's a shame. I don't know any of this guy's stuff (and tbh after this I really don't want to) but if Patrice liked him it has to be deeper than what he showed here because this was fucking awful.
Burns is legit insane. I don't mean that like whacky/ kooky, but legit fucking nuts. But he can also be funny imo, watch his stand up to make a proper judgement. There's stuff on RU-vid.
I agree. Brendon's stand up is actually pretty good as it goes. His podcast can be pretty interesting too. But this was a total mess. He went about it completely the wrong way.
I don't think I've ever seen Mark so visibly annoyed or p(ssed off at someone, I can see why, though. Wanting to talk about something important like the Patrice Benefit only to have a guy be really loud irritating, name-drop & generally be unfunny, not letting others speak, going over is a cardinal sin for comedians for a standard show but for a benefit its unforgivable ruining the whole vibe…jeez let someone else speak FFS!
The late GREATT Patrice has a cult following here in the u.k....obviously a lot comes from his o and a shows.....you could literally spend days listening to the stuff on youtube....shame he was cut short.
Man... I was listening to this live and I listen to Jim/Sam everyday. However, it got to the point where he was bombing so hard. I HAD to turn the show off.
It's cringe inducing. I heard a story from a comedian in the UK who said Burns said on getting his hearing aid "oh man, my timing was way off before I got this hearing aid I couldn't hear the crowd laugh"...the other comedian replied "neither could we"...never a truer word spoken. It's also maddening that people think he's from the UK. Speaking for the UK we are not taking responsibility for this moron
As an american living in the UK, this guy is standard british comedy. Keep in mind there's a huge difference in culture, and especially in comedic culture. He's actually pretty funny, but you've definitely got to have lived here.

even when normand sounded like he was being sincere about bringing out the black guy on stage he just having another dig at him for doing something hacky. everything went over this guys head lol
HOLY FUCK TELL THE FUCKING STORY. YOU HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL IT FOR 2 SHOWS & have been talking about this story for over 25 mins.(mostly about how you ran long telling the story) That being said. Burns seems like a nice, funny guy, I liked the last time he was on the show, even though he really shit on the help, because he was hurt/off his meds/sleep. Now the story is too built up, I want to hear the story because I love Patrice. But this build up is so absurd it has turned me into that youtube guy that should be hated.
