NBC DID cancel the reboot I suggest you do your research before you start judging criticising and hating on Mark Paul Gosselaar and the cast of Saved By the 🔔 they don't deserve hate negativity and criticism
Yep, I tuned out when it became obvious it was gonna be full on woke political garbage. Such a shame. When are these studios going to realize people just want to shut their brains off and just be entertained?
They just need to make good stories with good characters. That 90s Show got canceled because it turned into the LBGTQA+ show. That’s not an honest representation of the 90s. And I was excited to see That 90s Show. I stopped watching half way through season 2. I support the LBGTQA+ community, but that show just became an identity politics show. We just want to see good characters with good stories. Natural stories. Not being shoved down our throats.
Never watched it, but from trailers I couldn’t reconcile the cast from 3 camera Saturday morning sitcom to a single camera show. A bubblegum set like the max doesn’t really work on a single camera setup with more dramatic lighting…
All the comments saying the reboot (revival) was too “woke” clearly think anything that showcases poc is “woke”. I don’t know about the numbers, but the show was great and funny.
The original worked because the tone was meant to be comfortable whether you liked the humor or not. That's why they brought Mark, Lark and Dustin back. It's because their faces added to the tone of the show. The College Years couldn't work because like the reboot it just seemed unfriendly looking. Like who cares about a political satire? It was the faces of these actors like Mario, Mark and Elizabeth we fell in love with originally.
The college years was also competing with prime time television too. The only people who knew what was going on were fans of saved by the bell. It didn't draw enough of an audience for prime time tv.
Lets all be honest the Saved by the Bell reboot was terrible. Try to watch the reboot show without rose tinted nostalgia glasses on and the show was just not good, at all.
If you watch it closely, it was just a soap box to push an agenda; They even slandered the idea of the original show, and failed to capture an audience that wanted to hang in there.
The original show brings nostalgia but everyone wants to do a reboot and replicate. I think putting this show on "peacock" was a mistake. Done paying all these extra subscriptions
