I think under pressure this guy makes the game look the easiest out of all the players. You would never tell if he was ahead or behind in any match. What a legend of the game he is.
To make a 147 like that on a club table, with all those people sitting so close, people walking by and the comments being made is quite incredible. Talent doesn't even begin to describe what you see here. By the way, watch the guy eating his bag of crisps in the background - as Mark pots more balls and the realisation dawns this could be something special, he tries to eat them ever more quietly 😄
Just what I was thinking!! At the crucible it has to be perfectly quiet for them to play and yet here people are chatting and milling about. Amazing!! I used to play a lot of club snooker and noise or crowds didn't particularly bother me but I was a rank amateur. Getting a 147 in those conditions was amazing. His opponent looked a bit miffed at the end but what can you do?? 😂😂😂. Dave.
@@davesheppard8797 I wouldn't be miffed, even if I had only one shot - I would just dine out for the rest of my life on the story of the day I broke off and then Mark Williams banged in a 147! Poor guy having to put his cue back in the box after hitting the ball once. I played a lot of darts in my younger years - I once took on the 1983 World Champion Keith Deller in a game of 701 at an exhibition and he hit two maximums before finishing on the bull. You have to just admire it and take it on the chin. 🤣
When I was young I was a reasonable club player but one day when my parents were watching I couldn't pot a ball. So embarrassing. How anyone can play perfectly in that atmosphere is beyond my understanding.
I think the way in which the reds were initially set up just before the break off shot did Mark Williams a huge favour. Other than that it was tightly fought frame.
On his day, Mark is the best in the world imo. The fact that people are eating crisps, drinking, chatting, joking, opening doors, walking past him etc is why I think he has the best mindset in the world. A complete genius.
😢😢 loved poor lad's face I bet he went home and told his mum all about it 😅😅 considering Mark scored a Maxi in those conditions and noise says a great deal about his powers of concentration and brilliance. Top man one of the all time greats 👍 ❤ He didn't lose the cue ball once here I got more enjoyment watching this than some of the big Tournament 147's great crowd looked a fabulous night
I can't believe that most of the audience were still sat down after that break. I suppose they think a 147 isn't that special now. Youre privileged to witness a maximum live you duffers!!!!!
@billbrooks4694 when the black went in, most of the audience remained seated and didn't give Mark a standing ovation. A few rightly got out of their chairs but I just thought how sad that the people opposite the camera and behind Mark couldn't be arsed as he potted the last ball to stand and applaud and cheer. I've never seen that after a 147 before.
He manages the same thing that serious actors do, which is to feel that the people - and cameras - around him are not there at all, that they do not significantly exist. He can, if he wants, guess when it may be worth noticing what's around him, but they have already been 'counted'. It is why Tony Hopkins smetimes acts as if he is scoring 147, and why many actors look as if they are missing simple reds. J.
Incredible. Mark is so unfazed by any distractions. Saw him in an exhibition he made like 4-5 tons effortlessly while the crowd were all pissed and rowdy
Classic amateur mistake of opening the reds on the break for the pro, Mark had to bearly put any effort in. Once he potted first ball and got on black i knew a Maximum was on its way. I made the same mistake when I first played a pro, Niel Robertson, so not dissing him, doubt he'll do it again.
Even Ronnie recently in 2024 said mark would have won far more and especially world championships if he’d put more practice in over the years and he’d be blowing people away and world number one contention- truly great player 👍🏻🍻👏🏻🥃
How can professional complain when there's a noise at the crucible when they can play in this environment . They did everything apart from call the bingo out
Well you had mark under pressure until they took the wooden triangle off the balls, 😂, watching a real pro play the game and with all that noise around him is why club players and members love snooker
Such a great player to watch and so laid back hes the kind of guy you could have a pint with down the pub like he was your best mate terrific great upload !!
@@EVil-ob8in 😂👍 I like to see them take a few points of the pros at times though. I’ve promoted a few similar events, Who wouldn’t want this done to them by one of the best though. I’d be chuffed to bits. Best defeat of your life! In a alternate universe, Mark missed that tenth red and the lad came back to the table and won by 3 . 😉
I hope his opponent got to have another game with Mark? Also, why was the guy in the black t-shirt even there? Spent most of his time chatting, drinking, looking at his phone and not even looking at the snooker table - he did'nt even watch the last 2 shots of a famous 147!
Total class act, always does things you never expect. Seem like a proper decent bloke aswell everytime I've seen him interviewed. Got to be in the all time top 10 imo.
Why is his opposition looking upset and not happy....dont understand!!!...he broke kff and mark made a maxi a fantastic moment he should gave been happy to be part of the frame...but the lad was not happy 😮
Poor guy he was waiting all week to play mark he was practicing practicing and practicing and all he did was broke off great day actually excellent match thanks thanks for watching the video Try and subscribe
Fantastic. Made it look so easy. The best part is the young man, first going to the toilet, then scratching his head looking bored. Even as the 147 is nearing the end, he has no interest. He will look back when older and laugh.... priceless
Speaking to Mark, you can tell his a cool guy nothing bothers him at all. He have It's a great attitude. Thanks for watching. Try to describe if you haven't done done all ready
Sorry mate he play 10 Frame and That was the only one I filmed and only 147 he did that night. I will be putting another player up next week. Still stay tuned Thanks for watching
