The seam allowance for this project is ¼” unless indicated otherwise at a specific step. Seam allowance is indicated at each step.
Finished Size: Approximately 3” × 4½” × 1½”
Materials:
If purchasing yardage, purchase according to the piece requirements and yardage increments offered at your local quilt shop. Some shops offer smaller increments than those provided. Scraps are recommended.

Prints A and C (Quilting Cotton): Fat Eighth
Print B (Faux Suede/Leather*): Fat Eighth or 1 Roll/Package
Lightweight Fusible Fleece* (Pellon 987F or similar): ¼ yard
Lightweight Cotton Woven Interfacing (SF101 or similar): ¼ yard
Continuous Nylon Zipper #3 or No. 3 or Size 3: ¼ yard with 1 Zipper Pull cut to 4¾”
12.5mm or Size 20 Fashion Spring Snaps
(1) ½” D-Ring OR (1) ½” Swivel Hook
Materials (Scraps)
Print A (Quilting Cotton): Approx. 8½” × 6”
Print B (Faux Suede/Leather*): (2) 4¼” × 2½” and (1) 1¼” × 1½”
Print C (Quilting Cotton): (2) 4” × 5¼”
Lightweight Fusible Fleece* (Pellon 987F or similar): (2) 4¼” × 3¼”
Lightweight Cotton Woven Interfacing (SF101 or similar): (2) 1" × 1”
Continuous Nylon Zipper #3 or No. 3 or Size 3: 4¾” with 1 Zipper Pull
12.5mm or Size 20 Fashion Spring Snaps
(1) ½” D-Ring OR (1) ½” Swivel Hook
*Faux suede/leather is recommended for Print B, however quilting cotton or linen (55% linen and 45% cotton) can be used. If you wish to use quilting cotton or cotton linen, you will need to interface the (2) 4¼” × 2½” pieces with fusible fleece. You will also need to cut and follow the Option B instructions for the d-ring/swivel hook tab. The Option B tab will be cut at 2¼” × 1½” rather than 1¼” × 1½” (Option A).
You may require other supplies such as double sided basting tape, a quilter’s awl, an erasable marking pen, quilting clips or pins, a rotary cutter, a ruler or measuring tape, and snap installation tools.
Cutting:
Print A (Quilting Cotton)
(2) 4¼” × 3¼” Main
(1) 3” × 2¾” Snap Attachment
(1) 1” or width of zipper × 2¼” Zipper Tabs
Print B (Faux Suede/Leather)
(2) 4¼” × 2½” Accent
(1) 1¼” × 1½” Option A D-Ring/Swivel Hook Tab*
(1) 2¼” × 1½” Option B D-Ring/Swivel Hook Tab*
*Option A is intended for
faux suede/leather while
Option B is intended for
quilting cotton or linen.
Cut only one option based
on the material chosen.
Print C (Quilting Cotton)
(2) Lining Template

If using quilting cotton or linen
